Alka-Seltzer Heartburn Relief Gummies Mixed Fruit, 54Count

I have used the Alka-Seltzer brand gummies many times before (the ones in the soft package). They worked as expected. This is my first time buying these hugely discounted ones in the 54 count bottle. I did find the low price a bit too good to be true. After using more than a few, I decided these were not the gummies I had known before. They tasted different, had a different shape, and worst of all, they didn't work. Not even a little. And I am an expert when it comes to acid reflux. I've taken everything- over the counter and behind the counter.So I tested them. I have pH drops on hand (I test bottled waters all the time). My tap water is a 7, as it should be. I dissolved one of these gummies, and much to my disappointment and aligned with my experience, the pH actually went down to a 6!!! These gummies actually acidified my tap water. I thought, perhaps, the pH would not change and that these were basically just candy. But to lower the pH is a bit shocking. Perhaps they buffer lower pH stomach juices, but certainly to no desired effect.I strongly do not recommend these. I suspect they are not made by Alka-Seltzer and are counterfeit antacids. I don't expect the site to do anything about it, so buyer beware. And let's hope whatever these actually are, they don't harm someone.To be clear, these are the Alka-Seltzer Gummies being sold in the big bottles, 54 count. I do not attest to any other packaging.

Ack! New recipe and formula! These are not the same as the older ones in the soft package. First, they’ve lost their antacid properties. Second, they taste absolutely awful. The old ones in the soft bag package tasted excellent and worked really well. After multiple late nights popping these in hopes of relief, I’ve realized the new taste honestly taste like road kill smells. It’s truly revolting. I’m hoping they change back to their old formula quickly.

Kind of weird, but does the job. Not so much of a gummy but more of a squishy lol There's no chewing to this, your teeth go all the way through the first time.

I don't get heartburn or indigestion too often , but I hate tums or the dry tablets. The chalky dry taste is gross. Tried these as an alternative and they are sooooo much better. There is still a very slight chalky texture and they're less gummy as they are chewy. Reminds me of a chewy fruit snack more than a gummy worm, if that makes sense. Regardless, I think they are great and definitely work at reducing heartburn and indigestion. A little less effectively than the tablets though. If you hate the dry tablets as much as I do, these may be a good alternative.

I disliked that these are nothing more than a very sugary coated jelly type chew that has no effect on heartburn relief. First & last time I'll try them, not recommended if you need something to relieve your symptoms.

They taste good, sort of like a gummy. One usually is enough to work. Much better than the old fashioned chalky ones. I feel better taking these as they are calcium and not some weird pharmaceutical chemical.

They don't work. I liked the idea of gummies for heartburn, but I find myself taking them, seeing a very very small improvement and then taking tums 30-60 minutes later so I actually feel better.

They changed the formula and not in a good way. These taste so gross and the original ones were delicious. They still work to get rid of my heartburn, but I ended up ordering some of the original ones as I can’t take the taste.
