Q: I can’t get umbrella into stand, what stand do you recommend

I bought a "Half Barrel Planter" here on Amazon for about $40, found a PVC pipe that the umbrella rod fit into, and then filled the barrel 3/4 of the way up with cement making sure the PVC pipe was perfectly centered. Then I filled the last 1/4 with Miracle-Gro and some flowers. All in all, it was like $50 and looks 100x better than a metal stand.

Q: What is the length of the umbrella from the back (flat portion) to the front tip? Trying to see if this will cover my balcony.

It is 4 and a half feet deep . 9 feet wide , this is a very nice half umbrella . We have it up against our rv it makes it nice were you can not put an awning. We are truly happy with it.

Q: How does this handle wind vs a full umbrella?

I have mine up against the chimney outside, but have not had any wind issue. However, when a storm is coming, I close all my umbrellas.
