Crochet Granny Squares

great gift for any crocheter, 20 granny square patterns, basic techniques. A plus was the spiral binding for easy viewing of the instructions.

Just learning to crochet, took a class and then got this book. Very helpful and easy to follow along. If you are just starting out and have the basics down this book is perfect for you to keep going.

This booklet would really be good for a beginner. It covers the basics with wonderful pictures and instructions. A plus is that it’s spiral bound. It offers a variety of granny squares. Happy crocheting!

I am by no means an expert and I plan to up my crochet game so I bought this and another $20 book which I like very much. I wanted to teach myself some new techniques etc. thank god I’m not a baby beginner.The instructions for some of these squares is just not correct according to the photo it’s missing steps. So you have to guess to do another round etc or add a stitch. For instance in the traditional granny square round one you need 4 sets of DC into the ring but they only make you do 3 so I have to guess to do another round to match the pictures. Same thing goes for the other rounds to make 4 total rounds when it guides you to do 3 but that doesn’t match the picture.I do think this is “easy” to follow for a beginner and it’ll definitely make you use your analytical skills to finish the project. I would recommend this for someone at my level where you know the basics but you just want to add more creativity to your skill and more stitches under your belt.

I am enjoying this book. I've had it for three days and have successfully created five of the many granny squares. I'm looking forward in using all of the patterns in Afghans and spreads, or anything my imagination can think of. Since I haven't crocheted since I was around 19 years old and I'm now in my seventies I would say I'm a beginner and the directions and tips almost make me feel like a pro.

I was a bit disappointed when I got this book, Was hoping for more than how to's for a few simple crochet shapes, Basically what you see on the front is what you get inside except for the swirly one. The colors are nice, the instructions seem to be good and written clearly, I already know how to crochet and was looking for patterns. This book will not go to waste, its going to a friend that will be layed up for a while as well as a nice set up of yarn and associated notions, to help with the need to do things and boredom when your layed up in a rehab place. One needs to try when ever you can with friends.

Good basic teachings and, ideally, should be great for beginners. Unfortunately, I've found a few mistakes in the actual patterns that a beginner wouldn't catch as they go. So, just a heads up to keep an eye out for these if you do decide to buy. For the price, it's a decent purchase
