Grand Prix 5000 Performance Bike Tire Set of 2

i've been an intense road cyclist for 50 years. i currently ride a specialized aethos s works. i rode the original specialized 26mm tires for a couple years. i researched tires extensively before settling on the continental gp 5000. my roval cl wheels are not tubeless. i'd ridden 5000's quite a bit in the past. these tires are outstanding; smooth, fast, and comfortable. i'd ridden these for a couple of months and hit the ultimate test. returning from my standard road ride and about a mile from home i hear the dreaded clicking on the front tire of a burr/thorn. the tire rotates about 10 times before i stopped. it was a big sharp spiked thorn, about 3/8" long. it was stuck in the middle of the tire. there was a big base and it was perfectly inserted to drive right the tire. i stopped, knew the thorn had punctured it was so big, pulled it out and waited for the hiss. nothing. zero air loss. these tires are beasts. i guess that vectran really works. i'm sold.

Want free speed? Do your legs feel like they are pushing so hard but only going 14-15mph and over 200watts? These lightweight and really low rolling resistance tires offer good puncture resistance without sacrificing speed. Don't waste your money on something rated with less puncture resistance and more rolling resistance, buy these and watch your average speeds climb higher than ever without destroying your legs.

Best road tire for "puncture resistant" and smooth stable ride. Definitely worth the high price!

Great tire, very fast. Very noticeable difference from my stock tires on my low to mid priced road bike. I ride 70-100 miles per week and they’ve been very durable.

I like these Continental GP 5000 tires. Tire life is good. I am going up in diameter from 25 to 28mm and running with lower tire pressure. Vibration is noticeably lower. No problems with traction. The bead is a little tight, so getting them on and off the rims is a bit of a challenge.

Excelent product

I started riding on Conti GP5000 tires probably 7 or 8 years ago and ever since I switched to them, I haven't found a good reason to go with anything else. They're fast, reasonably puncture-resistant, and I usually get a solid 4-5000 miles out of a set. Other than that you kind of have to wrestle them onto the rim the first time, the only complaint I have is that they're not cheap, but it's definitely a you get what you pay for situation - they are worth the price.

You definitely get what you pay with the 5000s. Durable, great road feel and rarely puncture.

Great shipping experience and my favorite tires. Had several punctures on the road, either healed themselves or took a plug to fix. Very fast rolling and comfortable 28's.

Excellent tire, but sizing is questionable. 28s actually measured 25.5. Very tight fit on rims. I needed tire irons for first installation. But i’ll keep buying them. I get better than 4500 km on the rear wheel!
