Amazing sound difference
Wow! I never thought that a stand would affect the quality of sound so much as these have done. I am sure this has got no direct effect but it does indirectly aid the sound quality. Prior to getting this stand my speaker arrangement was just to place them on the TV stand on either side of the TV. I used to feel something was wrong as I was not able to enjoy the feel and effect that much. Then when I got this and set it up, the difference was remarkable. The difference was the height at which the speaker was set up now. It was more or less to the height of my ears when seated on couch than my earlier set up which was way way below. So now I am totally enjoying it.Shipping was on time and packing was good. The instruction sheet is very neat, precise and simple. Putting them together took around 15- 20 mins. The base is heavy and hence gives stability to the upper body. Once set up, it brings a lot of elegance and decor.Overall...I'm lovin' it

Works with Yamaha speakers!
I looked long and hard for speaker stands that weren't bulky or cheap looking, and I loved these Bose stands, but was concerned that they wouldn't work with other brands. All the reviews I could find applied to Bose speakers, but couldn't find anything else I liked, so I decided to give them a go and I'm so glad I did. I am using them with the Yamaha cube speakers that came with the Yamaha 494 htib, and they fit perfectly. These Bose stands are understated, yet sturdy, and are perfect for small speakers in a small room - they blend right in. The height is spot on for the rear speakers set behind a sofa. I used 16 gauge wire, which was somewhat tough to fit in the grooves of the stand, I think anything larger wouldn't work. Great stands for the price, and seem to be truly universal.

Decent product
Once assembled and placed where you want them, they look great, and are sturdy. They arent distracting and have a small profile. I have a bose 321 GS series III. To tip these things over youd have to push them passed 70 degrees. These wont be falling over, however read what I have to say later about durability.Wire management is good. Wires are hidden and the stands are at a perfect height for the average person sitting on a the average couch. The only complaints I have is that they are annoying to assemble. Not difficult, just annoying. For example the rod doesnt line up on its own, you have to eye it as youre screwing it to the base to get it facing straight forward. You will need a philips head screwdriver to assemble it. Also, the connection between the rod and the base is plenty sturdy, but its not without worry. If someone fell onto the rod it doesnt seem like it could take much before snapping off or bending. The caps that cover the mounting screws behing the speakers are kind of cheap and can be broken easily when installing, so be careful with that.Assembly is only a one time thing though, and it looks great when its all together. Im satisfied with the purchase.

Bose UFS20 Floor Stands
I have had a Bose speaker system (5 single cubes), with base unit, for nearly 14 years, and finally went with a pair of these stands. You see, I have cats (two, though one is the primary culprit). Cats (Jack and Eli, who are actually still kittens) like to 'play' with shoe strings, string, and any type of cords or speaker wires left lying on the floor for no logical reason but for them to attack. I was concerned that these stands may not be heavy enough to both support my speakers and survive cats . . . but I have been very happily satisfied! And while I have always enjoyed the quality of my Bose system, these stands truly enhance the audio to a new level. I have placed an order for two more of these great stands today, with only the center speaker remaining on the console below my Sony LED TV. I cannot recommend these stands enough, and were a breeze to set up (under the watchful eye of 'Jack', who insisted on helping until being placed in another room). Now, my life is easier because I don't have speaker wires dangling from the table tops and attracting menacing felines. Thank you Bose, and to Amazon for promising delivery of the other two tomorrow! Life is good!

The perfect gift!!!!
I purchased these for my boyfriend when he moved in. I already had a Kenwood system, but wasn't using it for surround sound and these speakers have their own stands which always look nice. The Bose speakers are small but without a place to set them, you can't take full advantage of the sound quality. These stands are at a great height and actually work quite well with my other speaker stands. My only other concern was my dog's tail and a mischievous cat. I was kind of worried that they may knock over the speakers but my worries weren't even close to valid. The bases are VERY heavy and solid and the speaker rods are firmly attached. All I have to say is MONEY WELL SPENT! Just an FYI the Bose system is an original 3 2 1 system with the rectangular speakers and they work great with them.

Perfect for Bose surround sound speakers
Outstanding speaker stands for the Bose system. We purchased the Bose Acoustimass 10 system and did not want to drill into our living room walls to mount them. These stand are quite sturdy (very heavy base) and the wires can be hidden in the stand easily. Correct height to watch TV while sitting on the couch. They look great and do not take up a ton of space (which pleases my wife). Quite happy with this purchase.

Product meets all expectations
The product works just as advertised. The cable is hidden between the speaker and the floor. The weight at the bottom appears to be sufficient to counter balance the speaker at the top, at least for the small jewel cube speaker. I don't know about the slightly larger direct/reflecting speaker, which 2.4 times heavier. I haven't tested it in a strong earthquake as yet. We will see. It is quite sleek and modern looking so it may not fit in a room with something like Victorian decor but it looks very good in my room. Assembly was very easy.
