The ICED Cap is a moisture-wicking mesh cap with a pocket for ice! This product was designed to allow ice to melt freely, letting ice cold water drip down your neck to bring down your heart rate and cool you down. The layers are not thermal and are not meant to preserve the ice for long periods (the ice melting is the best part of keeping you cool!). Originally created for runners and triathletes, the ICED Cap has now been used in a large variety of applications. Use it for running, tennis, gardening, lawn care, construction work, lounging at the pool or on the beach, and much more. By simply loosening the drawstring, pouring in ice, closing it, and wearing it during runs, our running testers have achieved faster times in training and races of all lengths and were more comfortable while doing it! The ICED Cap has been proven effective in the following race distances: 5K, 10K, Half-marathons, Marathons, Ultramarathons (50K and 100K), Half-Ironman, and Ironman. Our newest model, the 4.0, is slightly larger in size and has an elastic stretch drawstring. The stretch drawstring allows you to pull the pocket open for ice refills while you're on the go WITHOUT manipulating the stop-cord closure. All 4.0 colors will come with a spare non-elastic drawstring cord, so the drawstring can be replaced if desired.

FIX for hat falling off!
I have to write this review because this hat has changed my life! If the hat doesn’t stay on your head with ice in it you must loosen the drawstring on top. This allows you to pull your hat down further on your head and it holds way more ice! Mine has not fallen off since, and I have a big head! Game changer!!I hope you never stop making this hat because it has been a life changer for me who struggles with severe heat intolerance. I can actually go outside, participate in family events, or kayak and garden and not look weird. If you put too much ice in it, it’s a little lumpy looking but for the most part it’s a great looking hat that allows me to live a normal life outside! It does melt down your head but for me it’s 1000% worth it! If you get the white hat you will refill it less than the black but it does get dirtier. They are so easy to wash though I just take them in the shower with a bit of dawn and they come clean. If you’re on the fence about getting this hat and you have severe heat intolerance like me, run don’t walk to get this baby!!

keeps you cool
I wish it went further down the back of the head, nearer the neck.

My review
Definitely works fork cooling and was surprised how long it kept ice. If I had any suggestions it is if you are bald as I am, line the hat with a cooling cloth

Good quality hat, but doesn't work for long hikes.
The product is a great idea and well executed, but I'm not a fan. I run ultras in some very hot conditions and the ice was either too cold, giving me a brain freeze, or the hat was too hot after the ice melted because it has two thick layers. Ice last less than 1/2 hour. To make it work well for long runs or hikes, you'd have to carry a bag of ice with you in an insulated bag. I'd prefer a thin hat with a Velcro removal ice pouch. I do like the fact that it is white to reflect sunlight. The hat is well made and comfortable.

It's great when functional can be cute
I have a medical condition that causes me to be heat intolerant. I searched for quite some time before finding this cap... which was exactly what I needed. The migraine ice caps weren't what I needed for outside in the warm season. It's cute. It's functional. It's way more comfortable than sticking ice packs in my old tennis cap. It seems to be very well made and I like the material.I'm satisfied!

nope, does not work
Neat concept: a baseball cap with a sealable pocket on top in which to put ice so the heat is cooled and thus the body. Unfortunately, the cap is for a very small head, a five-year-old maybe. When I tried putting the cap with the ice in the top pocket on my head, the cap did not fit, it just slid off my head. The cap fits my head and stays on if I do not put anything in the top ice compartment so I guess I will use the cap to keep the sun out of my eyes on cool sunny days. But as far as a cooling cap, no.

Perfect for a long-distance runner!
Bought this hat for my hubby who is an ultra-marathon trail runner. Summer races get really hot around here and it can be hard to stay cool. This hat might look a little silly, but it's a lifesaver. I was worried his head would get too cold with the ice sitting on top of it, but it doesn't, and it melts and runs down cooling him off nicely. He has not complained about it getting in his eyes either. I would highly recommend one of these if you run long-distance in the heat!
