KEEN Women's Rose Sandal

I hate shoes in general. I have big, yet narrow feet for my height. I am self conscious of them. I have flat feet too, and ugly toes. All of the combination of the above mean that sandals are something I avoid. I bought these walking sandals a year ago, when I received them I thought to myself “I have now officially reached middle age” 😆 when I tried them on, they felt tight across the widest part of the foot and I wasn’t sure that they would be all that great to be honest. They aren’t exactly high fashion, and I wondered if I should just return them. Fast forward a month or two and I gave them a chance and wore them on a couple of days out, worn with dresses and skirts in the warmer weather, when wearing trainers would be too hot. Ends up they are amazing - okay they still aren’t high fashion - but they are super practical, no sore feet AT ALL - completely water proof I’ve waded through a river with these in. Your feet are secure and don’t slip even when they are a bit wet. They are easy to keep clean and don’t get stinky. They hide ugly toes. I’ve worn them with and without socks all around Disney Orlando and up Welsh mountains. Look and feel like they will last forever. The tightness I was concerned about went away. The less than fashionable look I decide I can live with as they are something I can wear and walk around with on without having sore feet, uncomfortable feet or bits digging in, slipping out or ending up walking funny to keep the shoe on. I am a size 6.5, these fit beautifully. Will I need another pair? Not sure, but will probably wear these til the day I die 😆 embrace them and enjoy your holidays and walking trips!

They are comfy though don’t seem to breath that much. They are pretty wide and seem big but they are the right size. The arch support is not high so don’t expect similar to birkies. The pinky on one of them seems it might come out through one side hole but it doesn’t yet. I did not wash them yet. Overall I am happy with them.

I bought these to take on holiday to Spain and Italy - we were going to do some walking routes and I needed something sturdy but cooler than walking boots. These sandals were excellent. They looked smart, were really comfy and the rubber soles could be rinsed easily to keep them fresh after a day's walking. I walked all over Barcelona and Rome in them, as well as following trails through the Pyrenees. The only problem I found was when my ankles got swollen in the heat when I wasn't moving about & the ankle strap got a little tight (the velcro helps to tighten the ankle strap but it doesn't come completely undone, so it can't be loosened off). Hence the 4 stars instead of 5. I liked: - closed toe style protected my toes well when walking on rough ground - rubber sole was easy to clean (so they don't get cheesy!) - looked smart - walked for miles in them with no rubbing or discomfort Disliked: - the elasticated ankle strap was a little too tight when my feet got swollen in the heat & couldn't be loosened

Very comfortable and perfect for summer walking in places where you want some toe protection. I feel able to wear them in lots of situations, as they don't look or feel clumpy like some walking sandals do. I also like the fact that they are washable and inner soles are anti bacterial.

I have had to return these as the fit across my instep was too tight. (I take an average width fitting usually )I agree with others that the ankle fitting would be better if it could be loosened as required. The velcro strap gives the impression of being able to do so, but underneath it is fixed. The sole feels lovely and shaped to the foot. Plenty of toe room. If you have narrow feet they would be fine.

Second pair I've bought in 2 months. The other pair are blue. Really comfortable and correct size I would have bought the turquoise or pink coloured ones, but thought they were a bit too expensive

Fab sandals for walking and hiking. Very comfortable and washed successfully in the washing machine. Just ordered another pair. Just wish the fawn, pink and light grey were available at a cheaper price and free delivery!

My second pair of Keen walking sandals. My last pair has lasted for 10 summers and has been round Europe and Asia city /hill/trail/beach walking. So comfortable. Tread has worn so replacement necessary. Lucky to find these at a reasonable price and hope they will be as robust.

Dies ist nun schon meine zweite KEEN Rose Sandale. Die erste habe ich mir vor drei Jahren gekauft. Der Plan war damals, sie vor allem im Sommer als leichte Sandale auf dem Fahrrad zu nutzen. Aber sie wurde sehr schnell meine Allzweck-Sandale für alle Outdoor-Aktivitäten: Auf meinem täglichen Weg zur Arbeit mit dem Fahrrad genauso wie bei kleinen Wanderungen, auch in etwas unwegsameren Terrain. Da sie rasch trocknet, kann man auch einmal ins Wasser damit, wenn man z.B. auf's SUP Board klettert. Da sie nicht nur bequem und praktisch ist, sondern auch noch gut aussieht, hat sie mich selbstverständlich auch in alle Urlaube begleitet, wo sie auch beim "Pflastertreten", sprich Stadtbesichtigungen bewährt hat. Einziges Manko hier: Bei hohen Temperaturen schwitzen meine Füße dann auch in dieser Sandale etwas. Mit dem Vorteil, dass sich die KEEN Rose Sandale abends waschen lässt und am nächsten Morgen wieder frisch und sauber zur Verfügung steht. Nach drei langen Sommern war es nun Zeit für eine neue Rose Sandale. Diesmal habe ich eine halbe Nummer größer, also mit 41 meine übliche Schuhgröße gewählt und finde, dass sie nun vor allem an der Zehenkappe besser sitzt. Bei meinem alten Modell hat eine meiner Zehen immer seitlich etwas "heraus gespitzt". Das ist jetzt nicht mehr der Fall, vor allem wohl auch, da KEEN offenbar die Zehenkappe etwas optimiert hat in der Zwischenzeit. Überhaupt die Zehenkappe: Ich kann gar nicht verstehen, wie es Trekkingsandalen ohne eine solche Kappe geben kann. Ich kann gar nicht zählen, wie oft mich diese Kappe vor bösen Zehenverletzungen geschützt hat! Die neue Sandale finde ich also vom Sitz und der Bequemlichkeit her noch besser als das alte Modell. Für alle, die einen "bewegten" Alltag haben und in der Freizeit gern draußen sportlich unterwegs sind, kann ich diese Sandale nur empfehlen.
