This is a very good cutting board. I have been using it for about two months now, and occasionally apply a light coating of Bayes Mineral Oil and Bamboo Protectant, which can be purchased on Amazon for $3.99 plus shipping. I try to keep it dry also, but that's hard because it is used almost constantly. The board is thick and heavy, and does not move around the counter at all. It only has very faint knife markings so far. It is very large, and a bit hard to wash if your sink is small. I don't use the grooved side much, but it probably will come in handy when slicing meats that have a lot of juice. It's a little bit expensive, but I wanted a big board to keep on the counter, and this one has plenty of space.

I have been looking for a quality cutting board since I got my Global Sai knife, and I'm very happy that I found the Verta Bamboo chopping blocks! They are solid yet the surface isn't too hard for the knife so that cutting/slicing are smooth and easy. The instruction sheet came with the blocks turned out to be very helpful - I ordered Howard's Butcher Block Conditioner and applied it to the blocks as instructed, now they feel/look even better. I strongly recommend Verta chopping blocks.

fabulous grips all meats & poultry, this is so big takes up entire counter, no juice running on counter, cleans up well. This was such a great deal. The seller was fantastic also, I intitally wanted to cancel order because I wanted a board with metal spike to hold meats they said no problem return it, after it arrived & I saw the quality & size I decided to keep it, they were very accomadating would definately purchase from them in future

I received the cutting board very quickly, especially considering we are in the holiday season. It is exactly as described, and looks like it is an excellent quality. It is a gift, so cannot report on actually using it at this time. Cutlery and More is efficient!

We have not used this yet, since I am still "seasoning" it with the Butcher Block Conditioner that I purchased with it, but I do expect to get much use from it. Since we love to cook and prepare a variety of dishes, it will earn its' keep.

5 star if had "feet". Board very nice and should work well carving under a turkey. We will find out later today if drains well.

Just the size I needed. Have treated once and after 6 months no cracks or warping w lots of use.
