The Bewitching Bedlam is doing fairly well, all things considered. They still have to deal with the "competition" badmouthing and trying to sabotage them, but it really is just a nuisance. Being High Priestess takes some getting used to. Then the weird starts hitting the stratosphere. First Snow White and the seven dwarves come seeking rooms... Then Bubba turns human. What is going on in Bedlam? What could be causing all this mayhem? Has her past caught up to her? Or is it her new position? Can she get to the bottom of this before someone is seriously hurt?

Maudlin's Mayhem , Book 2 (not including the Blood Music prequel) in the Bewitching Bedlam series, by Yasmine Galenorn , starts off with a bang. Maddy Gallowglass, co-owner of the Bewitching Bedlam B & B ( along with vampy hot boyfriend Aegis) and High Priestess of the Moonrise Coven, has a hex of a time, literally. When her bank account is hacked, and things start happening to her friends Sandy, Max, Bubba (her cjinn) , herself, Thornton ( new housekeeper) , and Aegis, she suspects something sinister is at play. The problem is that a doozy of a hex that has been placed upon her, and until Maddy can find out who is responsible for placing it, they are all in danger. We see some new and old characters appear in this book, such as Essie Vanderbilt, Vampire Queen of the Northwest, Thornton, a former friend of Essie's , Garrett James, and the Arcanus Nocturni. Who is so mad at Maddy that they would do this? And would they stoop to murder? I thoroughly loved this book, as it combined mystery, paranormal beings, fantasy, and a lot of character building to existing favorites, and I can't wait until the next book to see if some new favorites reappear and develop further. Yasmine Galenorn has another hit series on her hands that I can't wait to read more of !

I give Maudlin's Mayhem (book two in the Bewitching Bedlam series) by Yasmine Galenorn, 5 stars.Maudlin has settled in running the Bewitching Bedlam Bed and Breakfast. She is happy here, in a town that excepts and is run by supernatural beings. She has her best friend and her vampire boyfriend. She is a happy witch.But not all is well in this quaint little town. Another hotel considers her bed and breakfast competition and they have been feuding for a while now. A woman who looks a lot like a fairytale character gone wrong needs a place to stay. And it seems like bad luck is following Maudlin and her friends. One bad thing after another keeps happening. She doesn’t believe in coincidences, something has to be causing all of this. What is going on? Who is behind it and what is their end game?This is the first book of the series I have read and I loved it. It has the wonderful writing this author is known for, but the story is like nothing I have seen from her before. It is a bit lighter than some previous works she has done, but I think it’s definitely something she excels at! I fell in love with the characters immediately and the story drew me right in. I hope this series lasts a long time, they already feel like family to me!

Yasmine has created another great series that is imaginative and original. This is the latest installment in the Bewitching Bedlam series, which has magic, mystery, romance and plenty of action. Maddy is a powerful witch who lives in Bedlam, Washington. There she owns a bed-and-breakfast, which she shares with her cjinn Bubba, her vampire boyfriend Aegis and the mansion's own ghost, Franny. When Maddy starts to attract some dangerous attention, her friends and family are also put into danger. Maddy knows that she has to find out quickly, who is behind the trouble, before anyone gets hurt or worse. She has to figure out who she can trust to help and who might be out to get her. She also has to be wary not to step on the wrong toes, especially when dealing with the local vampire queen. Great read, check it and the other books in the series out. You will be glad you did.

After reading volume one in the series, I was slightly frustrated by all the loose ends that hadn't been tied up. I expected that to happen in volume two, but instead, reading volume two made it clear that somewhere there is a volume one and a half where a lot of important stuff happened. I still enjoy the characters and the setting, but I'm frustrated by the lack of continuity and the way the volumes don't actually function independently.

Mad Maudlin is making Bedlam take notice! Bubba the cjinn is such a divine kitty cat and that was just complete fun with an overload of laughter and surprise.....some nasty business with the Dirt Witch and interesting twist on the Nocturni....you can't miss this book and you will love the ride....thumbs up Yasmine Galenorn!!

The escalating fued between Maddy and a couple of the characters has the potential to cause a lot of trouble. Or a lot more pain and suffering. Given some of the interactions between the characters, maybe a middle ground is being sought with some. I love the Aunties. You can just imagine being a kid and hanging on to their every word as they teach you something important. Bubba is pathetically adorable. Also I LOVE skunks! Mr Peabody is therefore awesome.

I thought she couldn't possibly write another series that I would love like I do The Otherworld series but surprise! YG has come out with her Bewitching Bedlam series and right from the start I was hooked. This series is perfect to just get into your comfy pj's, grab your favorite soft blanket and beverage and curl up with your e-reader for the evening. As the character's and their relationships grow with each book, so grows my addiction to the series. So I stand corrected Yasmine Galenorn, you can and have written a series that I love as much as Otherworld.

Yasmine Galenorn always writes books containing strong independent women. Women who know their place in the world and are happy with it, who have no issues with how they look or whether they are in a relationship. Women who need no one and nothing to complete them and manage to live happy fulfilling lives. Such women are a bit to read about. Maddy and her friend Sandy are two more in that vein, witches and best friends they live on an island full of preternatural people,or creatures depending on your point of view. Mardy runs a bed and breakfast while Sandy owns her own buisness both are successful in what they do and also are never lacking for male companionship, although in book one of this series Mardy meets and gets involved with a vampire she maintains her independence. At the start of this book Mardy has settled into Bedlam and the B&B is doing well except for the fact that Mardy cannot keep a housekeeper longer than a few weeks, cooking and cleaning for the guests is not Maddy's idea of a good time so when the perfect replacement shows up Mardy hires him immediately. At around the same time strange things start to happen to people and pets around Maddy some of which are disturbing and dangerous, turns out someone is out to make trouble for Mardy again and she has to find out who quickly or her best friend Bubba and Aegis may end up dead for real.

I love the Bewitching Bedlam series, and this is as good as ever! I am so glad to read there will be even more by the end of the year.

great book, great series

I think this is a very interesting series ever. The different characters are a treasure to follow.
