Bicycle Shifter Cable Housing Bike Derailleur Cable Hose Kit for Shimano Sram MTB Road Bike

My shifter cable on my Giant hybrid bike exploded - the cable jacket disintegrated on the twist handle shifter. Just watched a youtube video and figured out what type of shifter cable to buy. These were the better quality type that are stranded instead of the cheaper solid version. The product was perfect, easy to cut and adjust. I did not have expensive cable cutters so I used my dremel to cut the outer housing and then used a sanding bit to sand the sleeve. I have a pair of regular wire cutters and these cut the inner cable without a problem. I finished the entire job in about 15 min, the bike shifted perfectly without needing any fine tuning. Maybe it was luck but it went really smoothly. So heck yeah - I highly recommend this cable!!!

Seems to be high quality and good value. Good fitting. You will need really good cable cutters. To cut. To length. Best way to measure new housing is line it up sides by side with the old got my biking working again. For very low cost.

This is a solid cable kit with plenty of extra ferrules and cable ends.

I almost bought another brand but lots of reviews mentioned there wasn't enough cable housing (the other brand had ~1M). This one was the same price and 2.5M of housing was plenty. nicely packaged and plenty of extra parts to match different shifter types. My bike is adult size and I needed cable housing in 3 places, two from the handlebars and a short piece in back by the derailleur. Kit was perfect and easy to use, thanks.

3 stars only because its still functional just the red color faded. Still trying to figure out how??? if my bike stays out of the sun all day

Not having built bikes for 25 years I know the cables were a nightmare to cut to the correct length and the PTFE linings were poor but these were a pleasure to work with. For a start you get far more than you actually need of the out cable, the inners were both tinned on the end stopping them fraying and making it very easy to feed through the outer cable. The fit was great, the performance so far has been good and the price point makes them excellent value to the point where I may just buy a spare kit for my kids bikes

Really affordable set of kit if you're looking to freshen up ur shifter cables . Comes with everything u need except cable cutter 😆 . Good product .
