Door Monkey, Childproof Door Lock & Pinch Guard (Pack of 1)

I absolutely love these. We have twins and lever door handles, not a good mix! I have about 8 of these all around my house. Every bathroom, the laundry room, each bedroom and the walk in closet in the master. Everywhere! Easy to install, adjustable, and easy to take off, you just clip it on the door at the height you like and done! Easy for my older son to use, he's still at the age where he likes to leave the bathroom door open, so this is perfect, doors open but he still has privacy and no toddlers running in on him. I like that the rooms still get to breathe, especially the laundry room. Room gets to air out, reduce the worry of babies getting trapped in dryer. Always some worry with kids, nothing's fool proof. That said these are very sturdy, I've push on a door with this on, it didn't budge. The only down side is that they are So expensive!

This little gizmo has done the trick at keeping my granddaughter out of rooms we don't want her in. It's easy to install, use or remove. Although the plastic arm had broken because of an adult twisting it while opening, it was made usable again with several wraps of electrical tape. I ordered 5; I would buy an extra one or two for spares. Two side notes: cats cannot squeeze through the door, and stores that carry child safety items do not carry this in stock.

This is a GREAT childproof door lock product! It keeps my nieces' 18 month toddler from accessing certain rooms while allowing easy access to only those individuals who can reach and release the lever. Immediately after unpacking the "Door Monkey" I feared I made a bad purchase because the item appeared flimsy. My mistake. This item should be used by everyone who has tiny humans and animals who need to be denied access to certain rooms. The Door Monkey is easy to install and leaves a one inch opening between the door and door frame. The Door Monkey can easily be removed when the door needs to be completely closed.

So I bought these on August 19th (now Oct 4) in a pack of three. I have a 16 month old boy that is into everything so I thought it would be helpful. He just approached me with one that snapped in half when he pushed on the door. I guess they aren't as sturdy as I had hoped. I don't think I'd repurchase paying $45 for 3 and then have one break in less than two months.

I would not recommend these, they are ending up all over our the house, and rarely where they should be (on the door). O and they do not stay on the door knob, they fall off easily (hence why they end up all over the house.) But if you do use them, they do keep the door ajar (why I gave it a three.) Just tough to store, open, etc.

This product is great. We put them up about 5' so that the 1yr old couldn't open the bathroom doors and play in the toilet. Put another one on the pantry to keep the 8 and 5yr old from raiding the pantry every 10mins. They stay put, withstand a decent amount of force, and are easily removed when company comes over. Perfect item if you live in an apartment where you want to refrain from causing any damage to the unit.

I purchased this about 6 months ago, and love the concept. My kids can peek through the opening but can't open the door. I like that it can be flipped and used as a pinch guard. HOWEVER, after light use the "arm" on one of the door monkeys snapped off. The plastic is cracking on the other 2 on the part that attaches to the door. I contacted the supplier, and they will do nothing since it is over 90 days since I purchased it. As expensive as they are, I'd expect a better product and warranty.

This is a great product! Easy to install - takes seconds, no tools. It does exactly what you want it to do. It keeps those little hands out of closets and any safety hazards. For adults, we have peace of mind, yet we can still access a closet with a simple pinch of the closet monkey to release the safety hatch. I would recommend this product for EVERY parent with toddlers and young children.

Incorrect description, it's not a triple pack.Not a bad price for three but an eye watering price for what it is.
