It was a cold, wet, Wednesday morning. I was a little dejected after a 45 minute drive to work with only my pesky fuel light brightening my mood - but then, something magical happened, something life changing.I was sat at my desk, deleting emails that needed actioning, contemplating whether to get a Greggs or eat the bland bran flakes I purchased yesterday. I’ve put on a lot of weight lately, the whole dilemma was really playing on my mind. Forgive me, the mug.It arrived at 9:27am to be precise. A somewhat surprise as i didn’t remember purchasing anything of late, not in a sober state anyway. I was intrigued, shaking with excitement opening the packaging which was 10x bigger than the item its self.And then that magical moment, direct eye contact, that awkward moment, i couldn’t speak, mesmerised, i managed to mumble “6 TiMeS iN mAdrId”. I don’t drink tea or coffee, so i hope you can understand my loss for words. I’ve never even looked at a mug twice (well actually...) but this was one was special.The mighty reds and the magical Liver Bird on one side and then the personalisation.“Virgil Van Parsons” simple, but stunningly beautiful.
