Works great!
I used this for a quick fix on a trailer tire that had only a small bald spot on it. Nothing major. It. was either try this tool or get a new tire. I drive a semi truck so I didn't want to give a DOT officer any chance to say anything about the tire. This tool worked great. I just followed the directions on how to install the blades, plugged it in, let it heat up for a few minutes & that was it. Just let it heat up enough to cut right through the rubber. Great tool & easy to use!

Ideal for personal use
Easy to use right out box just put the tip in screw it down and let it heat up, things to know for the first time users is the blades has a cutting edge make sure to see which direction you putting it in or less it wont cut thru, also put the blade in first and set it up then let it heat up for 10minsOverall its a good tool to have if you have tires to regroove personally but its not good enough to do commercially because it doesnt have enough heat to quickly get a job done 1 tire maybe take 30mins with a drive cross bit tire, wrist starts to pain little so do consider that its small groover not a commercal that has heat controlWorks flawless when heat up n take you time and dont burn yourself

Cost Effective Tire Groover
This is a great budget tire groover for making smaller cuts, even on large chunky 4x4 mud tires. I used up to a #6 square head, but to make full depth cuts on a Super Swamper tire I had to make two cuts instead of one deep one. It will not have enough power for wider heads and deeper cuts when trying to remove a lot of material on a large 4x4 tire. Seems to work fine on smaller tires with smaller heads. Keep in mind it’s 250 watts, other much more expensive irons are 1000 watts and can support the larger heads.

Works Great !
Just make sure you don't plug it into a GFI and you're good to go.Grooved the R4 tires on my JD tractor very easily but I won't know how well the extra grooves will work until the snow comes. I'm hoping it helps !

Must have tool for unique hobbies
The media could not be loaded. I have almost nothing bad to say about this hot work tool. Besides the hot rubber smell. If your a diy person or need more out of your tires this is the tool to get. Takes about 20 minutes for this the be up to temp to glide through treads and takes every bit as long to cool down.
