One and a half persons
This simple piece of kit is brilliant. Very easy to use and very effective. There are two factors that need to be taken into consideration: When releasing the bleed nipple make certain to do so to the most limited amount possible, otherwise you will be drawing air into the system through the threads in the nipple 'bolt'; You still need another person to assist for the final part of each bleed, to hold down the brake pedal while you re-tighten the nipple. I tried to rig a metal pole between the brake pedal and the driver's seat, sliding the seat forward to hold the pedal down, which was not particularly successful. Get another person to just sit in the driver's seat and push the pedal down for the few moments that it takes for you to tighten the bleed nipple

Does exactly what it is supposed to do
Delivered nice and quickly, it arrived how it was described and it works as it should do. A couple of minor gripes. It was supplied with spring clips, one was missing and one broke on first use. Now having said that, they aren't really needed. The tube fits tight over the bleed nipples and works just fine.Happy bleeding.p.s.I didn't give a rating for "Sheerness" simply because I haven't a clue what it means or how it relates to this product?

Looks promising after a bad start
Decided to take a chance on ordering this following some of the poor reviews. The item came promptly and looked to be well made. I decided to test the valve by blowing in each end only to find it didn't work, so I unscrewed the valve and removed the spring and ball bearing so that I can examine them and the inside of the valve. I found the problem was metal swarf that was left in side the valve body when they cut the thread. This was removed, reassembled and retested and found I couldn't blow either way. I then got a foot pump and tried that and found the valve worked perfectly, it required about 3-5 pounds pressure to open the valve. The pipe that is to fit on the bleed nipple does look a bit small but hope that if warmed will be stretched to fit, it did come with an additional clip which I assume is to hold the pipe on the nipple. I've yet to actually try it to bleed the brakes on the MGB but does look promising.UPDATE: I have now used the valve to bleed the back brakes on the MGB. No problems with the tube fitting the nipple, the day was quite warm and tube flexible so whilst tight fitted easily. Valve worked perfectly, I used an old jar with a lid drilled a hole in the drain tube fitted. This allowed discharged fluid to be captured without spills.UPDATE: Have now used this to bleed the front brakes. The nipples were larger here and it was a struggle to get the tube to fit over it. Think I will see if I can stretch the tubes a bit with warm water and something to open up the tubes. Will be a bit of a balancing act as don't want a loose fit with the smaller nipples

Does the job
Needed a little hose to bleed the brakes after changing a caliper on the car. This does the job nicely. The hose is quite thick, so I don't think it will split easily. It was a bit shorter that I thought, so I had it set up pouring into a jar on an upturned bucket instead of directly on the floor as it wouldn't reach. The car is a saloon, so the issue is not due to being a high riding SUV.

Make sure the smaller bore of pipe fits your bleed nipple!
I bought this to bleed a motorcycle back brake on a Niffen caliper. The item was well put together but the pipe did not fit the bleed nipple. The other pipe which was below the valve did, there was no function to reverse the valve. The inside of the valve consists of a spring and ballbearing. I ended up removing the innards of the valve and bleeding the brake the old fashionwd way with a spanner on the bleed nipple and holding down the brake lever. In the end an expensive piece of pipework for the job.

A pile of rubbish. Very disappointed.
I don't like writing poor reviews and fortunately I very rarely have to. I just wanted a simple non return valve to bleed the brakes on my car, so I thought this would be just the job. How wrong was I. The first one I ordered wouldn't let the fluid flow through in either direction. So I returned that one and ordered a second one. However, this one, which also arrived very quickly I might add, allowed the fluid to flow through in both directions. So obviously returned this one aswell. Very infuriating because I was waiting to use it to bleed my brakes. An absolute pile of rubbish. Very disappointed.

Good for the money
This does the job okay but be aware that air can be drawn back in via the threads on the bleed nipple so although all the air appears to have been dispelled you will need to hold the brake pedal down on its final stroke to avoid air being drawn back in. To achieve this on your own use a length of wood or tubing to lock the pedal against the seat mechanism. Obviously if you have another pair of hands it is much more straight forward.

Brake and clutch bleeding made easy (and cheap)
Such a simple yet effective bit of kit. The only additional things you'll need are an old bottle, and a spanner. Fit the one way valve to the bleed nipple using the tubes supplied, open up the bleed nipple and just press away on the clutch pedal until the fluid runs clear with no bubbles. So easy.

No es una maravilla pero cumple
Para un uso muy ocasional vale y poco más, el acabado no es nada del otro mundo, el diseño de la llamada válvula interior no es más que un rodamiento y un muelle, la rosca donde van alojados se afloja y tienes que estar atento para que muelle y rodamiento no caigan por el suelo.

Comodo ed efficace. Attenzione a non sporcare!
Ottimo per fare lo spurgo dei freni da soli. Attenzione a non sporcare dato che esce una gocciolina di olio dei freni intorno alla filettatura della valvola quando si pompa. Consiglio di mettere un fazzoletto intorno alla valvola quando si esegue l'operazione. Per il resto è davvero comodissimo e funziona bene.
