I live on a farm and do a lot of baking. I like to keep all my dry goods in glass jars but was having trouble finding large ones - at a reasonable price. These are perfect. I also bought the chalkboard labels on Amazon. The glass is sturdy and the lids are good quality. They screw on easily. I only mention this because I do have a few jars that the lids are really thin and cheap and the colour has worn off and they dont screw on and off easily. These seem good. They screw on tight enough that I can lift the jar by the lid and I dont worry that the lid is going to lift off. Always a good thing when you store sugar and flour in the jars! They were well packaged and arrived safely. I will order these again when I need more.

I bought this for making kombucha and it is exactly what I needed. Currently using it to make my first batch, so far so good. Wouldn't want to mess around with anything less than a gallon.

Havent used them yet, they seem to be ok. My major concern ist the gasket, is it BPA free? Probably not as it looks like. The glass seems to be significant thinner than at 1 gallon cucs from the grocery store.
