Nick looks, great for plugging in my printers and thumb drives
looks great with my macbook pro. I like the silver color that matches the feel on my macbook pro. it is sturdy and my son dropped it a couple of times but it still works well doesn't scratch. I get 3.0 speed on it so I'm glad for that. I like how it has ports on all 3 sides of it so I can reduce my clutter. Other hubs I've used usually only have ports in the front and having ports on the side like this one is a good idea. I tried plugging and unplugging devices on the port and my macbook seems ok with that and can recognize devices I plug in on the fly. Works great for my 2 printers and thumb drives. I used to unplug my inkjet printer and then plug my laser printer in but now both can stay in, and my thumb drives too!

Workes unless your Mac goes to sleep - must unplug to operate.
This device needs to be unplugged and plugged back in every time the Mac returns from sleep. Net effect is that if you have a file open in an application and the file is on the network, the Mac gives you the spinning ball. Also, any online application such as a web browser will not operate. Very disappointing.

Disrupts the WiFi on Macbook Air
Works great as a USB 3.0 device and my two SSD drives functions at high speed, but ... if you use a Macbook Air like me, this device will interfere with your WiFi. The moment I started using this my Macbook would have trouble connecting to my wireless router. Once I unplugged it, no problems. It might work well for you if you don't have a Macbook, but Apple users beware...

high quality and excellent appearance and function
Superb USB-3 Four Port, high quality and excellent appearance and function. Has a Blue LED indicating connection. It's small and light weight, so it does not place great strain on USB you plug it into.I had previously had to Return the Amazon Basics Four Port w/5V/2.5A power supply when nothing (two different keyboards) I tried would function through it.I bought an Amazon 'Dedicated' USB Charger to take care of device charging tasks,

Only lasted 5 months.
It only lasted 5 months. Now it loses usb connections often. I have a usb keyboard and a usb mouse connected through this. After a while mouse pointer disappears and keyboard input gets lost. Have to unplug and plug it back in to get them to work again. Replaced it with another usb 4 port hub and now all is reliable again.Update - it may not be this hub that was the problem - I the hub I replaced it with also rarely is having the same issue, although less often.

Too short and doesn't charge devices.
Doesn't power/charge my iPad it's also not long enough to sit on the desk from an iMac, it just dangles there.
