Inferior replacement when damaged in shipping
I'd used by original PikStik for several years and wanted another. Sadly, the grabber end had been broken (rod) in shipping and I advised and returned it for exchange. Unfortunately, I was sent a 32 Inch Extra Long Grabber Reacher with Rotating Jaw - Mobility Aid Reaching Assist Tool (Blue)Brand: RMS Royal Medical Solutions, Inc. instead. This replacement is built differently and pinches if I happen to grab it by the 2-piece trigger/handle, unlike the one-piece handle/squeeze trigger on the PikStik. It does not have the ability to hold as firmly as the PikStik. I don't know why it was substituted, but I'd NEVER pay for the RMS grabber. Do NOT buy this unless you won't mind the sharp edges between the blue trigger and the handle. The replacement is NOT worth buying.

This is the better of picker-uppers on Amazon.
I’ve bought I think 3 or 4 of these. I tried to pick up something very heavy with my first one and the handle cracked…so I used gaffers tape to fix it. Then the yellow rubber on one side started coming off so I used gorilla glue to fix it. I’ve used it to pick up so many things from trash to small rocks, even large grass spiders and snakes. It has been put through the wringer and essentially just kept working good enough. Recently my wife convinced me to order a new one so I ordered two, a short one and a long one. My old one I use in the garage, the short one I keep near the couch, and the long one I use for generally around the house.

4-STAR PRODUCT EASILY MADE INTO 5-STAR.
PikStiks are great in the workshop, kitchen, garage or any place where a step stool is needed. I haven't twisted an ankle while using a PikStik in years. It seems that 90% of the items I buy these days need some sort of modification to make them work satisfactorily.THE PIKSTIK IS NO EXCEPTION.The most common complaint about this product is that the jaws are inadequate.I have the perfect solution which I've added to all three of my PikStiks. It enables me to pick up a nut off the floor or a can of oil from a top shelf in the garage. Even small pieces of paper are no problem.Granted, the product claims the jaws to be 5.5" wide. That's true between the very tips of the unaltered jaws. But the tips of the jaws flare outward and it's hard to get a grip with just the tip of the unaltered jaws. Here's my solution:Swingline Large Rubber Finger Tips, Size 13, 12-Pack, (S7054033C)I invested in 3 different sizes in order to determine which size fits best. LARGE it is.Simply add a small dollop of Shoe Goo in the rubber finger tip and firmly slide/stretch it onto the jaw as far as it will go. Do this on both jaws and prop the PikStik upright with the jaw tips on the floor until the Shoe Goo sets up.If you add too much Shoe Goo, don't fret. Clean up is easy after it begins to set. Just trim off the excess with a razor blade or X-acto knife. If what you have doesn't work. Make it work. This philosophy also applies to tools.

Light and the right length
I love this pickstik. It’s light and 26” which for me is the best length. Most sticks like this are heavier and too long . I bought it to replace my old one that final broke. Without it I wouldn’t be able to dress myself.

Excellent reacher.
Exactly what I needed. Right length, well constructed and easy to operate even for arthritics. The grabber adjusts vertically and horizontally simply by pulling out and turning it. Pikstik has reachers of varying lengths for any job. I keep this one in my truck for use with my RV. I've had others before Pikstik, this is the best. Good choice.

Curved Cup Tip / Why? / Terrible
It wasn’t on the website description must be the seller. the tip was curved wasn’t flat like all the other pick sticks purchased earlier.Might be an old model that Amazon is just trying to get rid of.Terrible being curved wasn’t able to pick anything up

newer is NOT better.
I've had some problems with the newer improved version of Pik Sticks. The locking seems to want to work ALL the time, spend more time unlocking tongs than using them. The older plastic ones seemed to work better for me, you could control how much pinching to pick up things. The longer one is stronger in the shaft but the tongs DO NOT fit together, so if you try to pick up a piece of paper forget it. Just very frustrated, because I use the PIk Stick for everything that needs picking up, moving on the table or counter, or reaching up. Have been a customer for twenty plus years and am sad to see newer isn't better.

great
I like the silver coloured pikstik over the yellow as you can change the grab portion from horizontal to vertical easily. The silver seems a little more robust than the yellow. Both will pickup a puzzle piece fairly easily.I highly recommend the pikstik.

Good quality little picker
Picker has nice wide jaws with a firm trigger action. It can pick up heavy items like a full 1-litre bottle of car oil. The dimpled rubber pads on the jaws grip well. The aluminium shaft looks robust enough and the handle incorporating the trigger is easy to grip. The trigger allows four fingers to grip it.The rear of the handle has a rubber inset which makes it easy to grip in wet weather.

Rubber tip broke...
I had this exact Pikstick before and it lasted for many years. So, naturally, when I broke it lifting something far too heavy, I searched to find the same brand because I had been so completely satisfied with the quality of this tool. As a disabled person, I use my Pikstick many times every single day. The first one I had served me incredibly well. I LOVED IT as it contributed to my independence in daily life. I have a spinal disorder that prevents me from bending so the Quikpik is my arm extension. No more having to call my husband every time I want to pick something up. I literally use this tool every day and several times every day. After I broke the one that I had for years by trying to move something way too heavy with it, I ordered another from Amazon. Again, I have loved it and used it every day. It was delivered in December 2019, just four months ago, and unfortunately, the window during which issues with the product could be addressed closed on February 16th... and then, just 8 weeks later, the yellow gripper tip at the end to the Quikpik has broken. This makes the tool completely unusable as those rubber grippers are what allow me to pick things up. I have tried to glue the broken yellow piece to the black hard plastic but it won't stick even with Gorilla glue. So my first Quikpik lasted about five years, and this new one lasted only four months. I am disappointed. Somehow, I do not think the issue was related to any change in quality... the Quikpik is incredibly well made and comfortably lightweight to use. Upon examining the broken part, it appears that the failure of the product was related to how the teats on the yellow gripper portion were seated in the black hard plastic. I really believe that it was an anomoly and I still consider Quikpik a superior product among other grippers I have purchased and used over the years. As a disabled person on a fixed income, I just hate that I have to repurchase the product so soon... in just four months. At the same time, my Quikpik is an essential part of my everyday life and I know it is the best brand out there, so when I get my pension I will be reordering it.
