Best Magnetic Scraper in the Multiverse!
These are the most amazing magnetic algae scrapers in the multiverse.I have the model for thinner glass, and then I purchased this one for my brother and sister-in-law for their little fish breeding business. What's fun about these, is that you can do the entire tank without reaching in to collect the inside piece--because if you do it right ---go slowly around the corners--and the magnets will part and then re-attach ---- the inside part won't fall off. And if you do it wrong, and it does fall down in the tank--you can use the magnet on the outside part to re-attract the inside part and still not have to reach in the tank ( :One caveat with the 1/2 glass version--you can really snap your fingers if you let the magnets come together with a finger in the way.I also store these with an old rag wrapped around each part so they don't stick together in the box .Watch your fingers--Chistmas night when showing my brother how fabulous they were--before I even got to the tank I snapped myself ( : Still love these things. They do a really good job and are so much faster then the scraping method , and are 100% better than the older style magnetic scrapers (most fish-keepers have a pile of useless ones). Good stuff

I wish I got this sooner!
Ohh man is this a life saver! I was skeptical with how well this unit would work on coraline algae on the glass, with the amount of effort I need to use with my hand held scraper I was sure that these wouldn't work well. I was wrong, it is so easy to clear off anything on the aquarium glass, hardly any effort at all! I use the included metal scraper and it does the job so well I was kicking myself for not doing it sooner. With this unit I love how the only contact with the glass (on the inside of the tank) is the scrapers, no there is little risk of sand getting stuck on a part that doesn't have any function. It is a high quality unit and I am impressed by how well it works. The only down side is that it doesn't float, so if you lose it on a corner or something you might have to stick your arm in to pull it out. Overall I am happy with this unit, cleaning the glass is a breeze now!

Wow! IT really cleans the aquarium glass!
Received this Scraper last week and had been using it for a week! I have to say this is one of the best algae scraper by far among all the ones I have used. My tank is 40G with 3/8" glass thickness. The magnet on the scraper is strong enough to stay on the glass. I also really like the fact that sand does not get stuck on the scraper, this helps reduce the chance of glass be scratched. The only downside is this scraper does not float, so users need to be careful to avoid it dropping on sand when moving it. Other that that, this is definitely a great one to keep glass clean!

Works well I just wish it could float
As others have mentioned this cleans well and does a better job than a lot of scrapers at avoiding scratching your glass. While it does a better job of not picking up sand or other things which might scratch your glass I still recommend taking it out between uses. After leaving mine in for a few weeks I notice little balls of something attracted to the magnet and I've seen these be enough to scratch the glass. If it would only float it would be my favorite scraper ever. I have a 4 ft deep tank and I've had to fish it out of the bottom numerous times when I started scraping too fast or I messed up the transition around a corner of the tank. The best tip I can give is to put a paper towel underneath the pieces on the outside of the tank. You'll end up cleaning the glass while you scrape the inside.

Worth the money
This thing is awesome. I had problems with other mag cleaners scratching my glass in the old aquarium so I swore them off. I saw some good reviews on YouTube and some forums and decided to give this a shot. I was able to clean my 60 gallon in about a minute with this thing and I was able to scoot it around the corners as well. The cleaner is small and that helps with getting in tight spots behind rocks. I feel good about the small risk of scratching the glass compared to the time saved by not having to scrape with the stick thing and being able to keep my hands out of the tank. I only used the plastic blades that come installed and had zero issue removing any algae (it comes with an extra set of plastic blades, 1 large 1 small, and metal blades that can be installed optionally). In fact, just about everything came off in one pass. I am very happy with this and whole heartedly recommend it to anyone willing to spend a bit more to minimize the risk of scratches.

Great buy. Worth the money
Always skeptical about magnet strength and how well plastic actually scrap algae without messing up acrylic . This was the Strongest magnet I’ve used for an aquarium. Works awesome on my 150g acrylic tank. Made cleaning the acrylic take 1/4, even with spots of heavy hard algae’s. Transfers to the different sides of the tank easily. Would definitely buy again if needed

Good brand but WARNING!
easy to use. i heard they are one of the highest quality brands out there and thats why i purchased but they only include 1 metal blade when there should really be 2 since its double sided. also it should have the optional handgrips/float pads be separate at first, they are a real pain to take off once the plastic pins to secure them are in place. most importantly however is when they mean "up to 1/2" thick glass", that means you should really only use it on that size glass! my aquarium is 3/8 and the magnet is too strong that it pulled the glass panel with it and separated it from the sealant. luckily it didnt seem to leak much, maybe a gallon by the time i got back from work but its seriously depressing because my tank was just starting to really mature.

Only Tunze
Hi , Tunze algea scrapers are something new for me. Very glad I tried one. The magnet’s are very strong and blades are positioned so as not to dig into the silicone sealant. Don’t believe there’s a better one on the market. Highly recommend. Please stay safe and healthy

fantastica
