Supportive and Comfortable, Great for Everyday Relief
I got this to help with thumb pain from overuse and occasional flare-ups, and it’s honestly been a huge help. It offers solid support without being bulky, and the design makes it easy to wear during daily tasks without totally limiting movement. The adjustable straps make it easy to get a snug fit, whether you’re wearing it on your right or left hand. I liked that it doesn’t cut into your wrist or palm like some braces do, the padding is soft, and it stays comfortable even if I’m wearing it for a few hours at a time.It doesn’t completely immobilize the thumb, but it provides just enough restriction and support to reduce strain and pain during everyday use. Definitely helped make day-to-day tasks more manageable.

Best brace I've ever used
I literally can never be bothered to write product reviews, good or bad, without an incentive...but after just 6 hours of wearing this brace I felt compelled to share how absolutely SUPERLATIVE it is. If you have De Quervain's, stop looking around and order this Mueller brace immediately! It's comfortable, supportive, nonintrusive and fits great. Most importantly, the design of the thumb enclosure is brilliant; it lets you retain full access to functions of your thumb, but prevents the kind of backwards expanding "claw" hand movements that always cause a sharp pain in the wrist. And it's loose enough to not cut off your circulation, which is perfect for long uninterrupted periods of use. For the price and performance this brace is unmatched.

Works well
I love this brace! It fits snuggly without cutting off circulation like some others. It holds my thumb firmly in place, unlike some others I've tried that allow the thumb to wiggle a bit. I have a ganglion cysts, ruptured tendon and tendon sheath, and multiple longitudinal tears in my tendons on my wrist. I have De Quervsons Tenosynovitis as well, and this brace has helped relive the pain! The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is due to the strap that goes around the wrist, at the bottom of the brace. It's way to long! It wraps all the way around before you can Velcro it closed. This design means that the strap moves down the brace and I have to pull it back up in pace sometimes.

I love this Brace! Perfect for de Quervain‘s tenosynovitis. And you can’t beat the price!
Mueller is one of the most respected brands in braces. I love this one because it’s so adjustable with the three straps. It’s relatively lightweight and it looks like it’s breathable. This is the first day I’ve used it so I’m not 100% certain of that.It seems very well-made and doable. It’s got some cushioning and no painful and heavy metal inserts. Highly recommended.Technically, I can bend my thumb a little, but I’m not concerned about that. Even though this is called a thumb stabilizer, it’s really a thumb and wrist stabilizer, which is just what I needed. And it’s about half price of the other ones. You can’t go wrong with this brace, in my opinion.

Loving it!
I don't mind weeding, but the next day it feels like my thumb was broken. I wore this through 3 days of intense weeding and I feel great. Fits both/either hand perfectly. It's comfortable to just wear for 15 minutes as well. Cheap and good value.

Finally!
For background, I broke delicate bones in both my hands in a near-fatal MVA. Since then, I have of coursed aged to the point at which I cause a small fire by the friction of the now-lengthy spinning to get to the year of my birth. (This is a little long, but I think it’s all necessary so you can really know the amount of destruction that’s been caused to my hands, since it’s so extreme.)It’s been eight years since then, and I’ve lived in a horror movie, due to an emergency, I had to spend several days and months writing and typing more than any human should, I also developed arthritis, and the pain that’s borne from those events have caused me to be unable to get a good grip on things (literally and figuratively), I’ll often drop things and not even notice. I do not take otc painkillers regularly, and I will not take opiates, but with everything I am forced to do daily, I can’t get the chance to rest my hands, not even for an hour much less a few f days or a week. And as it always does, another shoe dropped yesterday morning when I slipped in mud and landed directly on my thumb and forefinger of my left hand. The pain was indescribable.I had an old thumb splint, and put it in. There was no metal in it, and as a result, trying to get it to the sweet spot where my thumb couldn’t move (any movement was painful), and I still had circulation in my hand.In fact, I had only two options: a) live with the pain and keep blood circulating to my hand; or, b) tighten it to stabilize my thumb/hand and then wait for the gangrene. In either case, extreme pain was involved. It’s impossible to to make it fit properly and be comfortable, you can’t do it. Either it’s too loose and your hand is moving all the time, or you lose circulation, but your thumb is relatively stable. (This is a few years old, so maybe the kind I now bought are a new design).I thought it was a long shot; since I’m a regular visitor to this site, but I did find these, and they offered overnight shipping, so I decided I’d give this one last try.Since these arrived, I am telling you, without a doubt, that I have not had pain in my thumb at all. I can’t remember when I had no pain last. The metal made me nervous, and the part in which you put your thumb, you need to ensure goes around your thumb, but I am absolutely convinced. The metal allows there to be a strong stabilizer, that will restrict movement of the thumb AND still feel comfortable.I highly recommend these. I wish I’d had them long ago. A+++++!!!
