10" 1M Carbon Block Replacement Filter Cartridge

We have used these Omnipure filters for years in our RV but not from this supplier which is better priced that our former supplier. We use 1u bulk filters ahead of these 1u carbon block filters and change the bulk filter every 3 months and the carbon block every 6. As we travel around the country we encounter all kinds of water and this combo helps wonderfully.

Product arrived promptly, fit my system and is performing well.

The carbon is spread in the water. The water is not clean. It's better without it.

Didn't buy it here, but would like to share my experience with the world.My system:1. 10 micron sediment2. 1 micron carbon block (this one is being reviewed here)3. GE 75G membrane4. Calcite filter5. 1 micron carbon blockPros:-made in USA!-quality made, plastic/rubber endpointsCons:-due to very high initial carbon particle release - requires extended system flushing. Take a look at the attached picture - this is from initial filter flushing right after this filter, bucket is actually snow-white, so you can judge amount of release. This is while it says "Minimal release of carbon fines" on the packaging. Disappointed.Another point, can be viewed as pro or con, depends how you look at it: have to replace it only after 2 months (this is with 10 micron sediment in-front). This can be indicator of good quality (it clogs and stops), or hussle. I tend to say indicator of quality with minor annoyance and expense.Overall - might buy again in the future, even though extended flushing is inconvenience - "made in USA" has additional weight in my book.

Identical replacement filter but was much less than my original. Shipped quickly and works great.

Dramatically improves the taste of my well water. Lasts about 3 months with my well water, your mileage may vary. This filter restricts water flow a lot when first installed under kitchen sink, but flow improves after a day.THIS IS DEFINITELY NOT A WHOLE HOUSE FILTER, and will not provide enough water flow if used as such.

This is a great carbon block filter at a great price, just do the research for a 1 Micron Carbon Block filter. This brand by Omnipure is one of the only ones Made in the USA. Many others have labels with an American flag and attempt to pass themselves off as made in the USA, most of those are made in China or Taiwan. Buy this filter, you cannot beat the quality and price anywhere else.
