Awesome
This was a great story that kept me on the edge of my seat for the entire book. The only thing I’ll pick on is Dean didn’t stab Sam’s hand, he cut it when he fell on the glass.

Well worth a read!
I never expect much from TV tie-in novels – more often than not, they’re badly written, uninteresting, or the characters bear little resemblance to their TV counterparts. So, as usual, I started reading “Fresh Meat” with very low expectations. The first third of the book had me sighing, “Okay. Another waste of money,” because the author included a lot of painfully long clumps of backstory that we as fans already know. The book is set early in Season 7, prior to Bobby’s death, when Sam is still dealing with Hallucifer and Castiel is presumably dead – so for page after page we have Dean, or Sam, mentally recalling the events of the first several episodes of the season (including the agonizing Amy saga), with no new insight into any of it. Yes, there were several action sequences, but they passed by quickly, in favor of more mopey backstory. Then…Apparently, the author cracked open a six-pack of Red Bull. From about the midway point through the end of the book, the action moves at a rip-roaring pace. The boys and Bobby fight their way from one harrowing challenge to another – and I’ll point out to my fellow fans, if it’s “whumpage” you’re looking for, this book is where you’ll find it, in spades! Sam, Dean, and Bobby are all battered, kicked, sliced, impaled, crushed, frozen, nearly suffocated… (Though, true to the TV series, they recover from each life-threatening injury in a miraculously short time.)The original characters didn’t quite satisfy me; the author sacrificed getting into their heads in favor of continuing the action, and I’m sure that’s fine for most readers. We don’t find out anything new about Sam, Dean, or Bobby, either - but again, the breakneck pace of the last part of the book will keep you reading, and you won’t worry about how Dean is dealing with the loss of Cas, or what’s going on with the Leviathans. There’s a mystery involved, a great new monster, considerable amounts of gore, our boys being smart and inventive – it’s tough to ask for more. (All right, chopping out a bunch of the backstory would help, but I won’t quibble.)Long story short: do I recommend this book? Heck yes! If you’re patient with that first third (go ahead, skim through it), you’ll be rewarded with that blazing second half. Enjoy!

Beware Of Mother Nature
Alice Henderson threw everything in this novel except for the kitchen sink. First, there's another Wendigo on the loose. For a brief moment, this reader believed that Henderson was trying to make a massive apology for the poorly written script of SUPERNATURAL titled "Wendigo" and make a story focusing on this elusive creature. The wendigo was just a small part of the novel filled with vampires, an aswang, kick-ass senior citizens, enthusiastic hunters, monster eggs, a nosey forest ranger and mother nature threatening to obviate the Winchesters and good old Bobby. The historian for this novel placed the events in the 7th season, but it felt like Season 2. If you are looking for Dean and Sam to have brotherly moments, forget it. It was the Sam and Bobby show for the majority of the novel and Dean connects with everyone in need of help. FRESH MEAT is a thrilling, richly detailed novel with twists and turns throughout. I couldn't put the novel down.

So-so read; definitely not one of the better SPN novels
So-so Supernatural novel. I've read worse and at least, the dialogue wasn't so off character as some Supernatural novels I have read. The plot was interesting but got bogged down with too much description. I didn't care for the plethora of scene description specifically. The author must either live in the Tahoe area or really love it there because there was page after page after page describing in great detail the woods, the snow, the cold, the ice, the trees, the sound of the wind, and so on. Way too much exposition going on about the surroundings just slowing the entire plot down to a crawl. This novel could and should have been edited better to cut down on all the pith.Another issue was that there was so much happening at times that it became ridiculous, almost slapstick to a point. Like Wile E. Coyote not only falling off a cliff, but then having a boulder fall on top of him, then a keg of dynamite explode next to him by the boulder on top of him, then being attacked by killer bees as he is crawling out from under the boulder. Just overkill on the action scenes at times. Anything that could go wrong for Sam, Dean and Bobby, did. For example, Sam and Bobby are out in a major snow storm while there are avalanches all around them, while climbing up a cliff while being attacked by vampires, then falling off the cliff, getting their asses kicked...the entire book is like that. It was like the author was worried the story would be boring if there weren't at least a dozen things happening at once. It honestly threw me out of the story several times wondering how in the world they could possibly survive the situation since they always seem to jump from one cliffhanger moment of danger to another and never seem to win any fights.Another big problem for me was characters would suffer injuries that would literally put a normal person in the hospital and yet, apparently being a hunter in this novel means you are superhuman. I reached a point of disbelief when one of our intrepid hunters falls off a cliff and ends up pretty badly injured yet, somehow, he just gets back up by sheer will and manages to climb back up the cliff face and feels well enough to hike for miles in a raging blizzard after being warmed by a fire for the night. Come on. Even the TV show isn't that unrealistic.I have read worse Supernatural novels where the authors got Dean and Sam so wrong that they weren't even in character. This book isn't that bad. But, it reminds me of a cartoon show more than the TV show because of all the over the top unbelievable action and characters that seem impervious to injuries that would put a normal person down.

Cool instrumental tune by two performers and a singer
(1846年のカリフォルニア移民、ドナー隊のエピソードが含まれています)It was an unexpected and welcome, my favorite type that related natural disaster.Trio acts all together, don't miss the great fun!I hope the last chapter was longer, especially after putting an end to everything.... Shall I add some on the blank pages? :)

Another great story in the Winchester adventure
As I am a huge supernatural fan I own every book that goes along with the series including all the novels and the companion books. The Titan novels are well written and read just like a usual episode and the authors obviously are familiar with the characters as they have the characteristics of Sam and Dean Winchester down to a t. These books are highly entertaining and do have an element of Horror to them so unless you are aware of the Supernatural series you might not want to purchase these books. I have been very happy with all my novels and this one is no different. The only downside I see is that once I have read the book I don't really see the point in keeping it so I would like to swap it for something else.

Easy reading
Took a little while to get into it but happily came back again and again. Good adversary and some decent twists.
