Roffler Finishing Cream, 5.1 Fluid Ounce

I have longer hair and typically use products that will help my hair lay back and keep from getting frizzy/curly. Great product for me even though it's not always the easiest to find - especially not in stores. I use a relatively small amount and it lasts all day. Compared to other products, I have little to no scalp irritation even if I happen to leave it in over night. The right amount of hold per my preference - no grease, crunch, or stickiness. It blends in well with my hair and provides the perfect amount of style and effect.

My barber recommended Roffler Finishing Cream to me in the early 1970s and I've been using it ever since. They have changed the scent several times over the years but the product still works better than anything else I've tried. I'm 67 now and still have a full head of hair. That's probably more due to genetics than it is to the Roffler products I use but I should say that my hair has always been tough to manage. When it gets humid, my hair goes curly. We live in a humid area so that means my hair puts up a fight most of the time. Now that it's mostly turned from dark brown to silver, it's even tougher to manage. Roffler Finishing Cream is up to the task. About a half-teaspoon full after a shower, rub in well, comb and go. My hair stays shiny and in place all day long. If I don't have time for a shower the next morning all I need to do is dampen my hair, comb, and the Finishing Cream comes back to life, like magic! And the new scent is great--light and pleasant. It won't overpower a room.

Good quality product. After reading some of the reviews, I wasn't sure how I'd like the smell. Fortunately, the smell is very faint and not bothersome at all.

I started using this decades ago mainly because it was the least scented product I could find. But after a period of very short hair I began using it again to control my ornery cowlicks. It still works great, but now the scent is overpowering, at least to me. I continue to use it, but only use the minimum necessary.

I have purchased this and other Roffler products since the late 70's. The original finishing cream formula in the blue tube had a clean, fresh fragrence, but since they changed the packaging, the smell is absolutely terrible. I don't know if it was a bad batch, but I will be hesitant to make another purchase. Has anyone else noticed this? Update: I took a chance and purchased another tube of the product from a different vendor. I am happy to report that this one had the same fragrence as the original in the blue tube. Apparently the last order was either a bad batch or had somehow spoiled, if there is such a thing. I have revised my score to 5 stars. Will be interesting to see if the quality holds up.

If you want to smell like you have one foot in the hospice, this is the scent for you.

I really like this product. I use after blow drying and keeps hair manageable.

I have naturally curly hair ... I can use this product when I straighten my hair or when I choose to wear it curly and it helps cut down on some of the frizz .
