Sturdy, handsome, and easily adjustable pet pen
We ordered this for a new puppy, after finding that a foldable "playpen" product we'd purchased for the previous puppy would no longer lock back into place. That was disappointing, as it was not an inexpensive item. We had also had some metal animal barrier pieces that got a little gross sitting on the screen porch, and didn't stand up independently (without linking several together to form a pen) which limited their usefulness. This plastic pen seems much better than both. The panels are thick and sturdy, and wide enough at the bottom to feel much more stable. It was very easy to assemble, requiring about 5 minutes with a screwdriver to install the door hinges, latches, and latch plates. The sections connect and disconnect easily by just lining up the hinge areas and sliding the thick plastic "bolts" in or out. We have it set up in the room with the puppy's crate (containing food, water, pee pad and a separate sleeping area). We're leaving the crate door open, and have set up five panels in a semi-circle around the opening, securing the outside panels to the sides of the crate, so it forms a secure play area. There's a larger bed, blanket and toys in the play area, and this is where the puppy now prefers to spend his time at night. He still goes in the crate to eat, drink, or use the pee pad, so it's all working pretty well. The spaces in the cross members make for good ventilation and visibility. The puppy loved the whole arrangement right away and readily goes inside when asked. This is a nicely made piece of equipment. The plastic is thick and smooth and feels rigid and strong. The individual panels are about 33" high at their lowest point (they taper slightly upward in the middle) and about 24" wide. I don't know how UV-resistant they are, so I don't know how well it would do fully outdoors, but we will feel fully confident setting it up on the screen porch when we want puppy to be able to be out there with us securely. The door is a nice feature, allowing us to let him run in and out to get to his food, water, and pad, or lock it up when he needs to stay inside. There are latches at the top and bottom that just swing into place and secure by tightening a screw knob. The door hangs straight and swings freely and the metal hardware is polished and very sturdy. The puppy has not been able to escape, except once when we hadn't secured the edge to where we have it joining the crate. I have no doubt it would be completely secure all joined together.I greatly prefer this solution to either the fussy foldable playpen or the metal barriers, which couldn't be linked together except with sharp-edged metal binder pieces. The white looks great in the house, and despite being very sturdy, it's light enough to easily tote around. We especially like that it's so adjustable -- just pop panels in and out as needed to make any size. The full eight panels would make a very generous space for small to medium-sized dogs. For a four-pound puppy, just five panels gives him all the space he needs. We expect to give him the run of the house with his big sister once he's trained and mature enough to be safe, but unlike the playpen and metal pieces we've thrown away, we'll keep this one to use to block off any areas of the house or porch and for any future pups. This is a great product and exactly what we were looking for to welcome home our new puppy. Five stars.

Awesome..awesome..awesome!
We live in a Chalet style home with open concept living-room kitchen. We've got 6 dogs who love hanging around in the kitchen, especially when my wife is there slicing tomatoes, carrots and other vegetables. Truthfully it's more like doughnuts, twinkies, brownies, cookies, cake.. but she's not going to read this review so I'm safe.. and you guys out there know what I'm talking about. When I'm in the kitchen I can handle the dogs guys. I tell them to stay out in the living room and they stay out there. When the wife is in the kitchen they are all over the place in there.. walking around her.. tripping her.. in the way..etc. It only takes one stumble and you can tweak your back.. sending you to the Chiro or at least a week of painful back spasm misery. It's not the dogs fault.. they're just hopeful that maybe something might drop to the floor.. like all 8 cupcakes she had in her arms on the way to the computer to play Farmville. She's also not the type to be very strict with them.. so they just go ahead and do what they want when she's at home alone. Anyways, She was talking about these versatile lightweight pet containment systems that can also be used as dividers and such. I hopped online and found this particular item. I checked it out.. then checked some others (more expensive..and smaller) then went back to this one. I (like you are doing) read through several reviews.. both the good and bad and decided this was the item that I needed. Ba-zoom! I pulled the trigger with 1-click and awaited it's arrival. It qualified for free shipping so I went with that and it took several days.. so fast forward through that until the next paragraph A couple hours ago it arrived and I drug the box inside... cut the packing tape and popped it open. I've gotta say one thing.. this whole system is chimp simple. Like my wife says, even I can figure this thing out. Each plastic panel connects to the other with a plastic connector rod that you can pull out.. and slap pack in with ease...FAST. You've gotta attach the doggie-door with the included metal hardware, screws and such.. which was a piece of cake. Not like that Metal Shed I bought a couple years ago which had a billion screws and required a degree in engineering to assemble. I finally hired a 12 year old to finish it for me. So back to the pet pen. It's together.. out there in the living room as I write this keeping my curious dogs from wandering about out in the kitchen. It works well guys.. and I'm serious about that. It assembles, disassembles with ease.. can be bent in all kinds of different configurations to suit the purpose. In our case that purpose would be from the wall..around the lazy boy.. a couple stability bends..wrap around the coffee table.. then to the patio doors. I got the 8 panel which is a hair longer than I really needed but for the price I couldn't beat it.. plus having a few bends in the barrier gives it a little more support. The dogs have been kinda testing it.. poking with their noses to see what they will be able to get away with when I'm at work. It will do the job.. hands down. We've got one Minpin, two Cocker Spaniels, Two English Setters and a Rottweiler/Boxer Mix. These guys won't jump over this pen.. and they're all UKC registered Agility Competitors who do the shows. If you've got a Great Dane then maybe you might need a modification of some sort. Same things applies if you've got an aggressive dog like a German Shepperd who tends to get a running start and ram the gate with his head. I've never heard of one doing this but there might be one out there who does.. and that guy might write a bad review for this product. Not to mention going on to write a bad review for his new Norelco Razor that does a lousy job cutting the lawn Naturally, such a pet with that habit would require something different like steel panels that are double bolted through the floor of the house. That concludes my review. I'm just an average guy who needed something to keep our pets from tripping and harassing my wife when she was baking and this plastic pen rig will get the job done.. especially through Thanksgiving/Christmas. We are good to go!

Great for dogs and kids!
Got this for my puppy dog. Worked really well. Two kids later and it's the best kid fort building thing ever - I'm getting really good use out of this product. I recommend this product.

Good Product
Worked very well, easy to assemble and store, The exterior of the panels wipe clean easily, By pulling up one connector and opening a whole panel it makes a simple door for people to enter or exit if needed. I really like the ability to add on, remove panels easily to adjust the size. Much lighter than the metal ex pens The interior of the panels are not rounded or filled in so they take a little more to clean but using a hose or shower spray and paper towels it was not a big deal.

Really satisfied with this purchase.
Really great product. Perfect for my 8 lb Yorkie and 18 lb Kimola - they can play together while I'm at work and not get into any mischief. It let's them have a confined space but lots of room. Right now it takes up my kitchen area but it's a great solid plastic that can go outdoors roo. The hinged door is great and they warmed up to it quickly. I tap it when I'm heading out the door to work and they run right in! Great product!!

It is super easy to put together and modifies to whatever size ...
I bought this for my 55 lb. dog who was recovering from knee surgery, but couldn't handle being crated for 6 weeks. It accommodates her large dog bed, her water bowl and toy basket. It is super easy to put together and modifies to whatever size you need. It is a bit wobbly, but if you have a small dog or a dog who is not a jumper, then I would totally recommend this gate.
