Great for shredding cabbage and other vegetables - very sturdy
It seems that everything that I’ve purchased from OXO is really good quality. They are not an expensive line, but they are really reliable in their quality. I’ve stopped buying the “high-end” kitchen brands and instead look for the OXO brand. They just hold up better. I use this large peeler for shredding cabbage for my fish tacos. It works incredibly well with the cabbage coming out thinner and more quickly than I could ever cut it by hand. It’s super sharp, and works so well. I’m delighted with the purchase.

Useful cabbage shaver
it shaves well - one thing though it shaves very thin - i wish there was another level where it would shave a little thicker (maybe slicing the cabbage will do haha)...

effortless
Just used this for the first time today. I couldn't believe how easy it was to peel a big rutabaga, a big turnip, parsnips and carrots. This is usually a chore but it was so easy and only took a few minutes. I hope it stays sharp. I actually said to the thing, "Where have you been all my life."

Best tool for peeling butternut squash
Just get it if you are sick of struggling peeling butter nut squash. Now I can peel an entire squash in less than 1 minute!

Good peeler but be VERY careful. It's so sharp my mum cut off the very tip of her finger and has to go get it seen to!!

Oxo has always been my go to kitchen articles. Quality is always there, the price is right and they do last. So tired of cutting your veggies, wider tool will work perfectly on cabbages, potatoes (large ones), zucchini. Any vegetable that you want wide strips of. Is very ergonomic, fits well in the hand. Blade is sharp. Very good tool. 5*****
