Is this made for sandy soil?

it comes with two tips ,bigger and smaller the larger one is for more sandy soil .I have some sandy soil and it has some clay in it so In some areas it could compact which is why I bought it .On my heavy ground where the grain cart had ran I pegged the meter .Its a handy tool
