It works, good device

All the reviews here are full of (you know what) put quite simply. IT SUCKS! Audio is always out of sync with the video. Piss poor audio quality, have to put tv almost full volume. Always takes a few times to actually display. To be quite honest, the video display looks as if you’re watching your favorite tv show through a microwave door. I wouldn’t even recommend this to my worst enemy. I’ve seen better quality recorded on a baked potato. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. I learned my lesson.

NO STARS!!!I must say say I was deceived by the good reviews of this product. I bought the first one and plugged it in, and it was as if I hadn't plugged in anything. And yes, I did wait about 15 seconds for the connectivity to establish, typical of HDMI handshake. I returned it and tried another with the same result. I just bit the bullet and bought the adapter from Apple which looked exactly the same as what I had heretofore received, except that it worked perfectly from the first time on. Need I say that it cost more than 2x it’s non functioning counterpart.All I cay, based on my limited experience, this knockoff acts as if there is no internal wiring from the outlet wire to the HDMI pins. I suppose I may have received items from a bad lot, different from what others have apparently experienced, but, at least CAVEAT EMPTOR !!!!

Can't say anything is wrong about the product but it doesn't function with most of the apps. If you are an Indian like me trying to watch Cricket from your iPad to bigger screen, guess what it doesn't support hotstar(Disney owned app). Other streaming apps also say they detect recording and hence don't work. Netflix worked. Also, one more annoying issue was you have to plug this to an outlet as well while using. But I think, in this case, I think the product is doing what it said ( operating basic functions) but that's not what I bought it for and my expectations were a bit high I guess.

Once I realized I had to connect power to the iPhone connector of the adapter, it worked like a charm. That port seems to be optional in the instructions, but the video projector connected to it did not work without that power connection. Says it’s for charging your phone at the same time, but it seems necessary to complete the circuit. Very affordable adapter. I’m pleased with my purchase.

I bought this to connect my ipad to a projector. It worked well and displayed the image from the iPad, however, it would not play Netflix or Amazon prime downloads. I did not read that before purchasing so I cannot blame this device as it stated it clearly, I just overlooked it. I am sure it has to do with the coding of those programs that wont allow them to be played through the device.

What nobody tells you is that Amazon and Netflix have DRM protection on their videos. As soon as you plug this device in your video will stop playing. Waste of money unless you just want to watch your iPhone home screen. Oh and the manufacturer tries to get you to do a qrm code to download their worthless and unessecary software.
