Zmart Fun II Digital Chess Clock with Wedge Bag Carrying Case (Green/Green)

I bought several of these on behalf of the United States Othello Association (USOA). I was especially drawn to the black/green color scheme, as it marries well, aesthetically, with a standard Othello board for tournament play. Love the touch-sensitive buttons, which are less intrusive than analog or digital clocks (less of the distinctive "thwack" sound, familiar to anyone who's participated in a chess or Othello tournament). As an Othello teacher, I also liked being able to stop the clock during "coached" games, where a student may ask a question without draining their time. Admittedly this was intuitive on my part; people less familiar with using game clocks may find this slightly tricky to figure out.I think the one thing I am still sorting out is how to configure additional time settings on the clock. Thankfully, one of the default settings is 25:00/side, which happens to be a standard time increment for Othello games for individual rounds. I would like to be able to figure out if this can be reconfigured to 30:00/side or more (for Final Games). I am not saying this can't be done, but I am also a little confused by the instructions provided so far.I am guessing this may be a minor complaint. The design is modern, and a great combination of lightweight and relative sturdiness. Of the 5-6 clocks I've used/tested so far, I have had no issues with them.

Product never worked. Time would not count down after being set. Very confusing to set, so I didn’t send this back until I had a friend who is good with these try to set it and he confirmed it was not working. Seller refused return saying expiration period was expired.I had bought another one of these that stopped working after about a year.

I bought this for a young chess prodigy. He's six (6) years old. He said "It's the greatest gift of my whole life.". Now you know why I love him.I think he wanted to cry with joy.. Let's face it. It's the closest thing to a Chronos at half the price.

I have used the classic wind up chess clocks for years. Now this product is all I use. You can set any amount of time you need or use the preprogrammed settings.Easy to use, sturdy, and even comes with a bag to protect it.

I bought it as a gift for a teen. Never worked. Total loss of money. Hassel to return so I didn't.

I don't like the batteries type it uses.Loved its sturdiness, and readability of use!

For the money it is an excellent purchase. The switching is done by a substantial metal post and is not mechanical. I found the clock to be sturdy and heavy. A tone and a light indicate the switch of the clock, so if this concept is good with you then it is an excellent clock.

Works and looks like a Chronos, but for way less money!!
