CHH New Double 12 Mexican Train Dominoes Set with Dots

Pros: Tiles were all there and are very nice and thick! I saw where many people complained of imperfections in other domino sets but we had none in this one! It came with two train tables...a thin one and the one pictured. It also came with batteries which was nice.Cons: The box for this is not all that sturdy or great so we'll probably upgrade to a new container at some point since I don't see this one lasting long and if you are not careful dominoes will fall out of it when accidentally tipped (and the snaps do not snap well either). When ours arrived we had tiny trains included but no chickens at all in the box so we'll probably buy a set of those separately if we play the chicken version. They also separately sent us giant trains and a train key chain which I'm still not sure why we got or what to do with. Finally, the instructions are confusing so we just tossed them aside and looked up the rules online instead.I looked around a long time for a decent but not overly expensive set. This set is nice outside the fact the box is terrible and it was missing the chickens.

It’s a great product for the price. Nothing was wrong with it except the noise doesn’t play when the center is pressed as it is supposed to. That’s not enough for me to send it back as the sound is lengthy and a little annoying anyway. All pieces were there and it was as it was advertised. The dominoes were weighty and colorful. I had been looking for a more impressive set as we play among adults. This was the best reviewed one I could find and am not disappointed at all. If I ever find a more mature set, with good reviews, I would buy it and still use this one at my camp.

Third set I have played with and it is by far the superior set.Pros: No blemishes on the tiles or with paint. The colors are bright and easy to distinguish from each other. Love how red, lime green, and orange are the colors for the highest numbers. No more counting grey and black dots or getting them mixed up.Cons: The case and the directions are basic. The hub is annoying and I ordered a replacement. (I did not appreciate the graphics, the color of the plastic next to the tiles, or the sounds. )Overall, though, I am thrilled with this set and rapidly starting to develop an addiction....

Product came with a double of the same domino that turned out to be a missing domino. Makes it tough to play when you don’t have all the required dominos.

Arrived sooner than I expected. The dominoes are made well and are thick enough to stay standing when placed on their edge on the table. No need for each player to have a domino tray. Beware of less expensive sets that might have low quality dominoes or thin dominoes that will fall over easily. This set provides excellent quality for a reasonable price. BTW, the game is lots of fun and is easy to learn. Great for the whole family and even helps the young ones learn the importance of strategy in winning a game. Picking the right dominoes that will link together to form a long train is of course the luck of the draw, but after that strategy in picking which domino to play next can make the difference in winning. Enjoy.

Have used other sets in the past to play, and have been frustrated that some of the dots are so close in color (9/11/12 for example). This set has excellent, vibrant colors, and the only two that are close are far apart in number. The dominoes are a good weight and size, the trains have a lot of color, the center spoke has a good design (the sounds are fun, but we'll probably pull the battery very soon!) and it has a nice, compact case that makes taking it along easy. Very happy with this purchase.

Double Twelve Mexican Train is a fun game to play, but there is a caveat to the quality of the product. I have had to return this game two times. First it came from Cactus Highlands (fulfilled by Amazon) and I found the following: 1) The two chicken markers were not in the box; 2) The game box was torn (not from shipping, as the Amazon box was intact); 3) The train sound effect on the hub did not work consistently and the chicken sound effect did not work at all. I worked with Amazon customer service and received a refund and sent the game back. A new game was sent overnight and shipping was free. This came from MMP, LLC (fulfilled by Amazon) and I initially noted the two chicken markers where not in the box. I contacted Amazon and they gave a me a credit as I did not wish to return the game a second time. We began playing the game last evening and noted a problem with the tiles. The twelve is red and the nine is blue and the double twelve was actually a red twelve and a red nine. Oops, where is the quality control? I will be sending this game back for a refund. Amazon has assured me they would be investigating this problem so it does not happen to anyone else. I give the Amazon Customer Service staff five stars, but the quality and integrity of this game two stars.

This is a great game. Received it at a good price and fast shipment from Amazon.The manufacture of this product has lousy quality control. The 2 chicken playingpieces were missing from the set. The double 12 has all red dots, but one side had12 dots and the other side had 11 dots. Various dice had paint smudges on them.Contacted Amazon to see if I could get the missing pieces. They said that gettingthe missing pieces sent to me was not an option that I would have to return thewhole set to the manufacture.... Too Much trouble! Decided to keep it.. But...Overall we are having a great time playing this game.

Package arrived in good shape and ahead of schedule. Very nice set of dominoes. Checked package for all pieces and everything there as advertised and well packaged for shipping. Nice train hub with room for the individual trains on the track. Chicken and train sounds work fine even though we won't use too much. Quality dominoes with good weight, feel and thickness with well coloured dots with very bright colours.. No chips or inconsistencies in the painted dots. A bit more expensive than other sets but happy we shelled out a bit more for this set. We expect to have these for a very long time. Would recommend to anyone who believes in paying a bit more for quality product.

Looked at a lot of reviews prior to purchase and this set did not disappoint!! Great game for the value
