Make sure you measure your unit for the best fit! Mine was 36”x36” for best cover fit. If your grates are vertical, that works best for the straps. Horizontal can work, but the vertical openings work best. Wish I invented this ingenious cover. Keeps debris out of my unit! I have a tarp style for the winter time. The straps feel pretty secure. For the price, I would buy again.

This is a very cool product. It was recommended to me by the company that replaced and services my unit. It came on time and I got one for a relative as well... we both got new AC units this year. It has definitely done a good job of keeping the leaves and debris out thus far (for me, at least), but the image advertised must be for a skinny unit. This item barely drapes down the sides of my unit, and it was a 'difficult' install, as the item wouldn't just stay in place long enough to attach another bungee cord. One of the bungee cords is further down vs the other three because no other points of attachment available, but that's okay. As long as the most important portion is covered, that's all that matters. I recall with my old unit, the night after it was serviced, a frog got inside and caused a short, and the unit didn't work until the AC company came back out to service it the next day. Naturally, I thought they made an error, but when I saw Kermit fried to a crisp in there... well, let's just say this should be a good investment. 4 out of 5 stars. This is the perfect cover for my brand new outside air conditioner where there are tons of trees near by dropping leaves & little acorns so .............we vacuumed all the stuff out of the bottom & placed this cover on it. The top is mesh so it doesn't hamper the unit at all. Keep the unit clean, ease to put on the unit & adjust, prices was great. I am a happy camper too

Easy to install, took less than minute to do. Can’t figure out how some say this is difficult. It is a perfect fit on Trane XV18VR variable speed unit. It’s lightweight, the bungee straps have rubber caps on the end to keep from damaging your unit, feels of quality material but only time will tell how this holds up in South Carolina summers and high humidity. I will leave it on year round, unless my HVAC tech tells me not to. I have a lot of nasty oak tree all in my neighbor yards and these trees keep dropping their leaves year round. See the photos. As of this moment, yes I would recommend this.

Perfect solution for off-season protection from leaves and debris. As an HVAC contractor with over 30 years of experience, I have seen many over-engineered and expensive products that have entered the market promising to do what this simple looking screen delivers on, keeping leaves and debris out of your HVAC condensing unit. Installation could not be easier, just make sure to get the right size for your unit. I would caution against keeping the screen on during summer, during peak HVAC usage when proper airflow is critical. In my opinion, this screen - or any other - would be too much of a restriction on the airflow your AC requires for proper operation. But for keeping debris out during fall and winter? 100%!
