Dead Island - Playstation 3

Ok first off ill start out by saying this is my first review of anything in a long time so don't be to critical.GameplayIll admit it is a bit repetitive but the ample amount of missions and the hordes of zombies and the different ways to kill them make up for the running back and forth to the same places. Another thing that kind of annoyed me at first was the weapons. I hated that you don't get a gun for quite some time. But after playing the game i realized that is what makes this game great. That you have to learn how to fight with a measly stick before you can take em down with a rifle. I love the skills you get to upgrade along the way. Also you have a special ability that once your meter gets high enough you become like a ninja throwing chinese stars and you can take down a whole horde of zombies. I love the mini bosses in this game you think you will just run up on them and chop chop they go down but no you chop off one arm and think oh they will be easier but they wack you with the other arm so you chop off the other arm and what happens now, they head butt you. This in itself i found to be really unique. Some of the quest are a bit cheasy but overall they are all pretty exciting. Driving a vehicle is great in this i love thats its first person behind the wheel and not some third person overhead cam. It reminds me of how you drove a car in Farcry 2. Overall i would compare this game to Left 4 Dead meets Fallout 3 meet Farcry 2. Its just too amazing to say anything more.CO-OPThe co-op is amazing i love that you can take 3 friends along and work on each others missions together. I always said they needed a game like fallout but where you could go online and work on each others quest together. Well here it is.WeaponsThe weapons are great. You have a huge array of weapons from machetes to small throwing knives to a rifle. The weapons go on and on. Thing i dont like is how quickly they wear out but they do have a bench you can go to to repair them that look exactly like the benches to create ammo in fallout.Well thats pretty much it i hope it has been helpful and sorry i didnt go more in depth but my hand was starting to fall asleep.I am not one to really get into a game. Fallout 3, New Vegas, Dead Space 1 And 2, Bioshock 1 and 2 and the Parasite Eve Games are the only real games that i would replay again and again. Well i will now say Dead Island is also on that list.

I was a little anxious to buy this game because I'm not a RPG sort of player. But after playing for a while, I was hooked. I love Zombies, and watching trailers and a game-play on Youtube, I HAD to get it. It's the perfect Zombie game! I saw a lot of reviews, about the game having glitches, yea it's fixed now...all you have to do is update it when it asks you to do so before playing.The game itself is interesting in many ways. Some people say it doesn't have a story-line, but in fact, it does. And that is, ways to stay alive by doing this, and doing that, and in the end, you have to try and get off the island. If you ever watched a zombie movie, and all they do is try and survive the best way as possible, well, the game is like that.You have quests where you need to get food, medical supplies, help others, find this, find that, and all of it is for one purpose: to survive.One thing I dislike is the whole weapon system. But if you think it about it, it's really realistic. I mean, if you hit people with a damn wrench for a certain amount of time, of course the wrench will get messed up. So its just all a realistic game.Another thing, with the weapons is finding a gun. I've been playing for a week already, and I still haven't found a gun. However, I am excited to find one!!Game is also kind of scary. Some quests require to go back inside the hotel, where it is super dark and zombies are everywhere. Oh my god! Scary, haha. But I love it.Zombies are also really realistic in terms of how they look, act & sound. It's really cool how you can pass by a zombie without catching its attention. Awesome.The island is also beautiful if you take a second to look at it. It's well done, the developers really did a good job in creating this island.In the end, I do recommend this game to anyone. Especially if you love zombies!! If you don't, still get the game!! You won't regret it and it's worth the money!

This is some of the most fun I've had playing vids in a long time. Once you get some better weapons like a machete or katana and the heads and limbs really start to fly, there is no going back-you are addicted to the carnage. I would give it a 9 out of 10.Pros:Massive game, so much to see and do.Weapon customization really pays off and adds some depth to the experience.A variety of characters to play as and weapon types to pick so everyone should be happy.Cons:The enemies level up with you, so there is no way to grind for a while and come back stronger than your foes. You never feel really powerful.It's an open world game, but if you don't allow the story to progress with you you can't really go anywhere and do anything interesting ahead of the story.The zombie re-spawn gets a little old. If they level up with you, and grinding doesn't pay off, then there is no reason for so much re-spawn. I realize that if you want to level up and complete challenges you need stuff to kill, but it just gets a bit annoying sometimes.Conclusion:For some reason, this game just sucked me in and I wanted to keep going back to Banoi. Despite some of the problems with the game, it's just to darn fun to ignore and all I really remember is the complete satisfaction of reducing a mob of zombies to a bloody pile of limbs and the feeling of running breathless through the jungle as if my life depended on it. Highly recommend, Great fun!

I loved the concept and it was a fun game but not as good as its hyped. Good game for the good price.

Le jeux n’accroche pas, il n'y a rien qui fait que tu veut continuer de jour, au contraire on a hâte de trouver un point de sauvegarde pour fermer le jeux sans perdre notre parti.Pas d'histoire, qu'un système de quêtes. Donc on ne fait que des quête et des quête point finale.Je trouve vraiment rien a dire de bon alors je vais me taire.
