Terrific Children's series
I was suspicious going into these series, because surely anything tied to a marketing line couldn't be all that--right? I'm so glad to be proven wrong. Since I trust Shannon Hale as an author, I was willing to try these books for my 6 yo daughter. We've read both books in the series out loud together and they are wonderful. I love that the books explore real choices and consequences: do we value a life that's safe and mapped out for us, or one that allows us to make our own choices? I love, too, that Raven Queen and Apple White are both fleshed out characters--though they want different things, they are still friends who support each other to the extent that they can. The supporting cast is also delightful--it's fun to see all the different spins on various fairy tales that show up here. But the best part is Hales' writing: reading that Humphrey Dumpty (son of the original Humpty Dumpty) "cracked" a smile is just a small example of the attention to detail and setting that characterizes these books. Also a plus--my kindergarten daughter has plowed her way through each of these books on her own after we read them together. Anything that can motivate a child her age to tackle writing above her comfortable reading level is doing something right.

Amazing, fun read!
For reference, Iโm nearly 16 years old and still love these books. Seeing as theyโre mainly written for a younger audience, itโs a very easy read, but thereโs still enough detail in the books to keep you interested regardless of age. I totally recommend Shannon Haleโs EAH book series for any fans of the dolls and netflix show/youtube shorts, as she adds a lot of background to the characters and series while keeping them close to the original show. Again, the book itself is in perfect condition and I definitely recommend buying hardcover as the pages have a pink color on them, which makes it that much more fun to read.

Unfairest of Them All
Unfairest of Them All, sequel to The Storybook of Legends, was remarkably amazing. I am an aspiring 11 year old author who loves fantasy. I recommend this book to all fairy-tale lovers. It is inspiring, funny, and creative. The story is well played out, showing the perspectives of both Raven Queen, the misunderstood daughter of the Evil Queen, and her friend, Apple White, the beloved daughter of Snow White, in their quest to find the true meaning of life, where you live in a non pre-determined role. While Raven tries to rewrite her story so she is not evil, Apple tries to save her happily ever after, the two BFF's work together for one common goal-to save their friend.

Confusion
This was a great book showing how one little mistake in the world of happily ever afters can lead to disaster. For a child like Raven to have chosen to go down that path, without warning of the consequences, was shocked by what occurred. Without realizing, Raven is stuck in between a war and ended up being leader of the rebels. She is confused .What's wrong? What's right? She doesn't know anymore. what she has to realise is sometimes there's not always a right decision.

Perfect for young readers
Perfect for young readers! Started a mini book club with my friends' daughters. This series is great because it incorporates in known Disney stories and fairy tales while adding less common ones. Then it has excellent lessons intertwined for us to talk about! Like who determines good and evil? The colors of the pages is super cute and the writing style is fabulous and captivating! As an adult I fell in love with it and enjoyed it as much as the 3rd and 5th graders!!

Not as good as the first.....
I was so excited after reading the first one that I've been watching for the 2nd one. I immediately pre-ordered my copy and was reading it the day it came out. It still has the same fun characters you love. I wish the Kindle version included the colorful words and pictures. (I later ordered a hard copy to read to my daughter since the color and pics make it a fun read.) To me the storyline was weak - it felt more like a filler book than an actual book. You finish the first book wondering what's going to happen since Raven doesn't sign the book. The second book goes off on a tangent adventure with Apple and Raven trying to save Maddie that while fun to read the whole time I'm just wondering what's going to happen with the non-signing part of the story. It keeps mentioning it but never gives you more on it. Guess I'll have to wait for the 3rd book to find out. So if you're hoping for a sequel to the first one you'll be disappointed just wait for the next one but if you just want a fun read about characters you know and love go for it.

Excellent series of books!
11 year old daughter loves this series, and the hardcover books - which I usually don't buy - are worth the extra $$ because the pages have a pretty pattern and are sure to please any girl. I do wish the author would crank these out a bit faster, they are fairly quick reads and my daughter is always asking when the next one is coming out. I love when the kids are so excited about books!! Tip: If you are looking for other books for girls agres 8 - 13, we've read Shannon Hale's other books and they are all wonderful. :)

Grimms Fairy Tales with a Twist
A new twist to the old and very well known Grimms fairy tales. If you loved the old fairy tales, you will adore this book!

4.5.
Like its predecessor, The Unfairest of Them All is a pretty funny and lovely novel. It made me laugh and enthralled me like no many books manage to. Hale is a talented writer and the Ever After High series is so creative and cute I advice people to read it. You are in for an exciting and fluffy and humorous tale! Even if some questions of mine were not answered so far... Maybe in the third installment, I hope! :3

Book is worn out. But sold as new!!
Just received the book, but very disappointed. Book has a taped page, last page is almost going to come out and the book cover is old! Definitely a used book! But why sell as a new book! My daughter was very disappointed!!

Beautiful!
I got this for nostalgic reasons as I loved this book series when I was younger and I wanted to have the full collection. The book is amazing quality and each page is full of detail and it's a very pretty book to look at. Good for what it is, an easy to comprehend story and good messages, perfect for young women as it has some good role models without being preachy or too on the nose (which is something that always bothered me when I was a child). I highly recommended this book series :)
