Love the size and appearance of these very lightweight mugs and think they're a great value compared to other brands. The silicone seals are intact (very tiny, on outside bottom of mug - all double-walled items like this have them; they vary in quality and I think these are excellent) and they were packaged well for shipping. If you're new to this type of glassware, here are a few things to know: 1) they really are super lightweight - great if you have arthritis and have trouble holding a large, heavy mug, 2) you really can pour boiling water into them, 3) they keep temperature for longer than a ceramic mug would (even longer if you keep covered with a silicone coaster or drink topper), 4) they're more durable than you'd think but should still be handled with more care than an everyday ceramic mug, 5) I recommend using a silicone spoon to stir instead of a metal spoon, to avoid scratches and breakage, 6) I also recommend hand washing with a cloth or other non- scratch material and 7) recommend you avoid leaving them to soak in sink or dishpan for two reasons: they'll be hard to see and you may throw heavier items on top of them that would scratch or break them, and because the tiny silicone seal on bottom may leak and water will get in between the walls and be difficult or impossible to get out. I realize that makes them seem like very high-maintenance mugs, and perhaps they are, but I love mine and don't mind taking good care of them!

I purchased this 4 piece set in 2018. They are still in great condition and are my favorite cups to use. The outside of the cup stays cool regardless of how hot the tea or coffee inside. I highly recommend them for both their aesthetic appeal and durability.

We were interested in glass double insulated cups, but not sure which to go with, or if they really worked well in keeping the coffee hot. After much time reviewing different brands, we purchased BTaT cups. We are both extremely pleased with these cups and they meet all our expectations. Pros: Keep coffee hot for a long time! Light and Easy to hold. Look really great. Dishwasher safe. These cups are already my favorite. Cons: One of the cups was cracked upon arrival. I e-mailed BTaT and within 15 minutes I received a reply that they would send me a replacement cup immediately. So, bottom line, if you are shopping for new cups - I highly recommend these!

Please be aware that this type of glass is fragile no matter what brand you buy. That being said, my husband and I love drinking our early morning coffee from these mugs. They insulate very well and the handles are large enough and comfortable to hold. I always wash the mugs by hand. Also a big plus for me is that I can do my pour over coffee directly into the cup and see when the cup is full. No guessing. Update: I have only one left of the set of four 16 oz. The others all broke even with all the extra care. I used AI to find out why the breakage issue. It appears that the 16 oz mug has a more thin, fragile rim than the 12 oz. Because the glass is stretched further for the height? I did change brands because I like these insulated glass mugs so much. The other brand of16 oz mug shattered as I took it out of its packaging and I never got to use it! So this is the better brand but be aware that the 16oz is not as durable as the 12oz. My opinion.

I wanted to wait a few months to write a review on these mugs just to make sure that they held up at least a bit over time. I have to say, so far this is one of the few times that I have been thoroughly pleased with a purchase that I was initially unsure about. Rather than just say that these mugs have proven to be functional and durable, I'll give you a rundown of their typical weekly life-cycle for the past few months so that you can judge for yourself: - I take them out of the cupboard, fill them with cold water from the tap, and place them directly in the microwave where I heat the water to boiling (yes, I am a filthy American who boils their tea-water in the microwave). Of note, I own a 700 watt microwave, so it takes longer to boil water in it. There is a possibility that higher powered microwaves will create more thermal stress by heating more quickly, so keep that in mind. - After brewing the tea, when I do happen to add milk, sugar or honey, I mix it with a metal spoon and do NOT take care to avoid hitting the sides. - When finished, the cup goes into the sink with all of the other dirty dishes. They do not have a separate, special place where they reside, they are lumped in with everything else. - From the sink, they go straight into the dishwasher. The only concession I make here is that they are only put on the top rack. Once clean in a general wash with a heated dry cycle, they go back in the cupboard. All 4 of the mugs I own go through this cycle at least once a week, and not one has broken, chipped, cracked, or even gotten scratched as far as I can see. The ONLY issues I've noticed are: - Some of them developed (or eventually showed is likely more accurate) some streaking in the insides of the glass walls after a few uses, likely the result of some leftover residue from the manufacturing process. - With one or two of them (and I know this will sound like a disguised compliment, but it really is kind of annoying) the inside walls of the cup are so perfectly smooth that the water can actually super-heat without boiling, so that once you put in anything like a spoon or a teabag, the water will immediately boil aggressively for a few seconds. Other than those minor problems, these have proven to be remarkable, durable, functional, and indeed beautiful mugs which I would highly recommend.

I had bought these cups for my mom as a gift and she loved it so much. But I myself loved it so much that I ordered some for myself too. The order for my house was in January 2020 and I've been using them for the past 5 years. I can tell you that I have not had any issues and no cracks and no problems for the past 5 years. There hasn't been a time that I've used them and haven't gotten a compliment. Any guest that comes over instantly falls in love with it and I have guests that request their coffee in those cups when they come over lol. The shape is gorgeous. Very classy looking. Unique, not like your usual glass coffee cups. It is a bit small for a full cup of coffee but perfect for a cappuccino, one shot cappuccino. If you want to do two shots plus a lot of milk might not be enough. However, for a not so milky two shot or a milky one shot it's perfect. It is a double wall so the cup never gets hot, you can hold it right when you pour it and your hands won't burn. Seriously it's super cute and durable, I'm telling you I've been using it for 5 years now and it's still works and looks like brand new. I love these cups!

Did I just have bad luck with these or what?? I got these to simulate a similar mug from Starbucks, which I love so much I've washed the same mug every day for 10 years to use the next morning. When I saw these I had to try & I love these mugs so much. They are absolutely what I wanted & perfect for my needs. They are unbelievably beautifully packaged & make a great gift. I just don't understand why 3 of these mugs have already cracked and/or broken since Christmas. I haven't had a mug break in years & all the sudden - THREE? What the heck? IDK. I love them so much I may purchase again & pray for better luck. I wasn't sure whether to give 5 stars or 0 stars, it's a mystery! Edit: Here I am again years later. I DID purchase another set of these mugs bc they're just so perfect for what I love ... Same beautiful gift box to give someone if you want extraordinary presentation, and same mugs - similar to the Starbucks mug I used for 10 years. None of these have broken, so I'm not sure about last time ... was that nature or nurture or whatever - I loved them so much I bought them again & no regrets.

9/26/2020: I purchased these mugs in April 2020, just a little over 5 months ago. We have been happy with them -- they are delicate but we have always treated them with TLC. Unfortunately this morning I pulled one out of the dishwasher this morning and there was moisture trapped inside the mug itself. You may have run into something similar with a double pane window when the seal fails -- moisture gets in between the two pieces of glass and it's impossible to clean. On the bottom of these mugs, there is a small dimple/hole that must be related to the manufacturing process. Unfortunately this mug lost its seal and there is now a tiny hole that lets moisture get in between the two walls that make up the mug. I snapped a couple of photos with a post-it-note to help the camera focus in the right location. You can see the mug with the open hole and another one with its seal. I thought the seal was glass originally, but now I think it might be a bit of silicon. I like these mugs so I am really disappointed to discover they have this design flaw. I have to give them a 1-star rating because of this reliability problem. Update: Jan-10-2021 Three more of these mugs failed the same way. I just switched to another brand (Bodum) because I like the double wall design very much but not the reliability problem of this vendor. Bodum claims to have invented this type of mug in 2002, I didn’t do any research to verify that claim. The Bodum’s are sealed differently on the bottom, I added a photo to show their approach. Hopefully it will prove to be more reliable over time.

Good quality cups, they are very stylish and light weight. They keep my hot drinks hot longer than your standard cups. I prefer handwashing these with warm soapy water because they are very delicate. They are easy to wash by hand. I would get more of these in the future.

These cups are so lovely everyone comments on them. They never get warm on the outside but keep your drink hot on the inside. No problem putting these cups down on a wooden table cause they are never hot enough to leave a mark. They are thin but strong and very elegant.
