This is a high quality tool. It works best for small projects where a variety of terminals are being installed. The double-scissor action works the anvil/die in direct opposition rather than a simple "plier" action which does not crimp F-type terminals correctly.I've seen this item, relabeled and sold at much higher cost by popular-brand tool companies and specialty tool companies.I've tried many terminal crimpers and I like this one best for my work. I don't use it all day. If I crimped terminals all day I would probably want a crimper with ratchet action which would requre less hand force, although more hand actions. The ratchet tools I have used were always set up for only one terminal size, so for a project using a variety of terminals, I needed to find several tools.This is the best single-action, multi size terminal, crimp tool I have used. I purchased it myself for my personal tool kit. It is well suited for occassional custom wiring work (electronic wiring; automotive wiring harness; connector repair; etc.). This is why I rate it 5-stars.

I am having little success forming proper crimps. Too many times it does not roll the tabs into the crimp, leaving them straight. Also does not appear to work on terminals for double wires, as the tabs are too far apart. I find myself partially forming the tabs with one tool, and then trying to crimp them fully with this one. I cannot recommend this. Too many failures and unreliable crimps. For $10 more, you can find a good ratcheting model that works.

I really like this tool. I'm using it to build a bulkhead disconnect for the custom wiring in my car, and the solid feel inspires confidence. I've used it on AMPseal and Deutsch as well as WeatherPack connectors with outstanding results. 100+ crimps so far without a single error, and no, I'm not a professional. There is simply no reason to pay more money for specific crimping pliers. Please note, though, that if you're crimping regular butt/bullet/spade terminals, these are not what you want. For those, I recommend http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0002STTSY/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_32 very highly.Other reviewers who've said these pliers don't work on WeatherPack terminals, etc. I don't know if you got the wrong tool or if you're just doing it wrong, but my results have been excellent thus far, and the pair I bought are the exact same as those that came with our $500+ professional connector kit the techs use at work.

Have conplaints with this crimper it works great with no issues and built very well would reccommend this over the snap on or matco brand basically the same thing just different name

Very satisfied , but I was expecting red in color as advatise not blue , no problem I can work with it !!

This tool works great. It is less than half the price of the ones on the tool trucks.

needed this for the occasional b type crimping and didn't want to pay twice as much off a tool truck.
