Great item, and a great replacement for Thayer's product which is no longer available
Great product. I used to used Thayer's slippery elm lozenges, which were great, until they were no longer available a few years ago. This product is just as good, if not better. I got the tangerine flavor lozenges which were very tasty. I had dry cough for a few days, which became much more productive as soon as I started using this lozenges. Also, the lozenges helped reduce the amount of my coughing. When it seemed like I couldn't stop coughing, taking 1 or 2 lozenges would have a calming effect and my coughing would either stop or be greatly reduced.

Soothing and nice flavor
Soothing to the throat. Some reviewers don’t like the flavor, but I do. Yes, it has a little more natural/earthy taste, but it’s a lot better than sugary throat lozenges!

Helpful Lozenges with Vitamin C, But Can Be Strong
I use these whenever I start feeling sick, and I’ve noticed my colds seem to resolve faster! I don’t mind the taste, it’s better than regular lozenges to me, and I love the added vitamin C. The price is great too. The only downside is that finishing a full lozenge can make me nauseous, so I usually only have 3/4 of one or make sure I’ve eaten enough beforehand. Overall, a helpful supplement for when I feel under the weather.

Pay attention to ingredients…
I thought these were just slippery elm (a friend sent me the link and I didn’t examine them closely). They’re not, they contain echinacea and vitamin c. If you’re not wanting/can’t have immune boosting (I had to do a round of prednisone—which is the opposite of immune boosting and its actually counterproductive!) , you can’t have these. Just FYI.

It’s not the same as the popular brand but it’ll do
It’s not the other brand I’ve been using for almost 20 yrs, but I needed something, as that brand is no longer being produced. This brand has a very, very bitter taste. However, it does do the job. Would buy again as I really have no other options. *shrug* If you haven’t used slippery elm lozenges before, be aware that they are not what you would expect from a lozenge. They’re not like a hard candy type thing. They are what you could expect if you ground a supplement and pressure packed it into a pill. It’s grainy and has an odd texture. (Sounds delightful no? It is what it is. : ) ) However, it works very well for that tickle in your throat that won’t go away, and it’s non-harmful.

Helps soothe acid reflux
So glad I got these. I have a medical condition that leaves me susceptible to acid reflux. Slippery elm works well to soothe things when I need more than an antacid. I use tea containing slippery elm but these are good for when I need to grab something quickly or cannot make tea.
