My Big Dog (A Golden Classic)

Great children's picture book! I loved it, even though i am 17! Especially since I love dogs, and i grew up with 5 dogs! plus, I have/ had 3 big dogs personally. The big dogs are/were named ( some have sadly since passed) a female German Shepherd/ Husky Mix, named Kinder - Short for kindergarten, cause all the way up to adulthood, believe it, or not she still acted like a pup. Her nickname was Kinder Ella. I also had a Female Chocolate Lab (Labrador Retriever) named Java, who lived to be 12 years old! NOTE: Java means Coffee in German. Her full name was Java the Hut. And, presently, I have a 1 & 1/2 year old female Dobie, ( Doberman Pinscher) named Blu! I know strange name, but long story short, her coat is actually Blue, not a grey, like we originally had thought. Her Full name is Blue Ivy. My other 2 dogs are - a medium sized Old English Bulldog (yes, that is actually the breed's name) named Stella - her full name is Stella Matilda Noelle. She is currently 11 years old. Last but not least, I currently have a small but feisty and sweet female Jack Russell Terrier, named Lilly - Belle, who is 13 years old.

I love this book. I had pets just like the ones in this story. My Big Dog is fun to read using a distinct cat voice for Merle.

One of my daughter’s favorites. We used to read it online, but it’s so much nicer having it right in front of us. I received an excellent copy, all pages in perfect condition.

Bought this book as a mentor text to teach syntax. Students loved it. Bonus is AR.

My son loved this book. He’s now 24 and I recently got it for my great nephew.

Our grands recently all got new puppies - Golden Retrievers. They love this book. Beautiful illustrations to go along with great storytelling.

Cute cat and dog story. We have a Golden Retriever, so it had special appeal. Merl the cat has to make way for an interloper, a DOG! Might also be helpful for kids getting a new sibling.

Bought this for my great niece. Received it damaged. Had never heard about this book before, her family have a Golden Retriever and thought it would be nice for her to have, didn't realize it would be more about a cat than the dog.
