Question 2

When poring water, the pot twists away from handle making it easy to get scalded due to no control. How can it stay fixed ?  Any advice ?

In order to have a longer life for copper coffee pot with wooden handle, you should be careful when washing. We recommend that it doesn't stay wet for long. Do not wash, especially in the dishwasher.

Is it safe to boil water in an unlined copper pot? If not lined, copper can leak into the boiling water, and be a health concern.

A: It is not safe. It puts your health in danger.

Q: If not lined, copper can leak into the boiling water?
A: Water may leak on some models. However, the base and sides of our all copper coffee pots are made of a single piece of copper plate. So there is no junction point. Therefore, it is technically impossible to leak, even if we are not tin-plated.
On the other hand, the base and sides of some copper pots are produced separately and then combined. If they are not tin coated, water leakage is possible.

Q: and would it be a health concern?
A: It is not recommended that any copper cookware used for cooking something should not be tin plated. When tin plating is done, it is best to use pure tin. Some manufacturers use tin mixed with lead. That endangers the users health like no tin coated.

What kind of material is the interior cover with? I’m concern about harmful materials that may affect health and body.

The inside of this copper coffee pot (cezve/ibrik) is covered with tin that is safe to contact with food. In contact with food, it does not harm your health or your body. You can use it safely.

P.S: Some copper manufacturer mix lead into it to obtain a smoother tin in some copper coffee pots. In this way, a smoother appearance is obtained. On the other hand, lead is harmful to health and it is not safe to contact with food. On the contrary, we just coat our all ibrik with pure tin.
