Oh my God it works! It really works!
I am 50 ish and had short thick hair most of my life until about 10 years ago. I now have nearly chin length hair, and I have to keep it up or it'll be in my face all day.I'm not special, but those baby plastic hair clips don't do it for me. What has worked is a giant Scuncii clip , which holds great, but the clip handles stick out and makes it hard to lie back in my chair or they bump against the headrest when I'm driving.I saw this and decided to get it - I had a gift card balance, otherwise I may have passed it by because I'm cheap. But I'll probably get another one because THIS THING WORKS.The combs are metal. The elastic is strong, and the whole thing feels really substantial. There is no clear elastic under those beads, it's more like a bungee cord.I was even able to get it in my hair without any bad words! So take it from me, if you have thick hair and want to keep it up, give this a shot.

Awesome and comfortable hair comb/barrette.
I've had a similar one in the past but 5+ years later the stretching elastic was loosing the tightness. I've looked an looked for a similar one and finally found it. You can lay flat on your back without a large bump on the back of your head very comfortable. Very useful if your a bike rider, fast and easy to throw in your hair.

Sturdy and dressy
Excellent quality and pretty. This is not a cheap looking comb. I worried about the metal teeth bending like the usual ones you get in the drugstore. No way! They have looped ends so they do not scrape or stick into your scalp, and the doubling of each tooth makes them good and sturdy. It is pretty enough to even wear for a dressy occasion. It holds my hair firmly all day long, even through mat exercises.

This looked beautiful in my hair and stayed in place all night. I wore it to my son's wedding and it really added a nice touch to my outfit. I have very fine hair and many things slip through my hair and need to be adjusted regularly to keep them in place. Not the case with this. I highly recommend.
