Good backpack at a great price.
I read a ton of reviews on backpacks and went back and forth for weeks before purchasing this one. I needed an inexpensive backpack that fit my small list of requirements. Before settling on this one, I read many of the comments. Here's a break down of the complaints/comments that made me hesitate.Size: When originally reading the reviews of this item, many complained that it was small. The dimensions are clearly stated in the product description. It is not a huge bag, but it isn't tiny either. What it is, is a moderately sized bag, perfect for day trips. I am 5'5" and wear this bag comfortably. My husband (5'11") has no comfort issues with it either. The straps have a large amount for adjustment and make getting a comfortable fit easy.Quality: Come on, folks. Look at the price of this bag. You are not getting a Jansport that is going to last until your kids have kids. It is extremely reasonably priced and you know that the quality is not going to be stellar. With that in mind, I was pleasantly surprised at how nice this bag actually is. Sure, the stitching could use a little reinforcement in some areas and I fully expect to have to do that at some point down the road. But, for the daily abuse this bag takes, it is holding up surprisingly well. I have stuffed it within an inch of it's life and then dragged it through an airport and on an airplane and you would never know it. It gets tossed in the car, shoved into lockers, sat in the dirt, and still looks great.Busted zipper/weird smell/misc. complaints: My bag was in perfect shape. If your bag has a defect, contact Amazon and return it. They have a great return policy. With any mass-manufactured item, there is going to be a small number of items that are not up to snuff. Every batch has its lemon. In short, I purchased this bag to replace my (several years old) Eddie Bauer cross-body diaper bag that was on it's last leg. My goal for this bag was one that would fit me comfortably and hold everything I needed for a day trip out with my toddler. I had requirements of a separate front pocket, water bottle pockets on each side, and no interior technology padding. This bag fit the bill perfectly and has performed admirably. On a typical day outing, this bag holds:*an Easy Lunchboxes lunch bag*a changing mat*a small case of wipes*4 diapers*2 Contigo water bottles*wallet, glasses case, and misc. small personal effects*pack of crayons and small note pad*snack bars*matchbox cars*change of toddler clothesAll that and I usually have a little room to spare. So, if you're looking for a good day bag that won't break the bank, you really can't beat this deal.Update 9/4/15:This bag is still going strong more than a year later! I'm seriously impressed with how well it is holding up. Sure, one of the mesh pockets has a couple small tears and I can see some seams that are working on getting a little loose, but nothing that affects the overall performance. This backpack goes EVERYWHERE with us and puts up with a lot of abuse. This is one great inexpensive backpack!

Excellent value in "personal-item-size" carry-on backpack
This is a nice lightweight backpack that fits within some airlines' (including United's) requirements for carry-on "personal items": 9x10x17" max. This item is described as 5x11x17, but it's actually more like 8x11x17, and there's nothing stiff in the pack itself to prevent you from squeezing the 11" dimension (what I would call "width") down to 10" if you get a picky gate agent.Additional advantages:-- Very light weight but I expect it to be durable (I have one of their fanny packs that has held up very well). Measured weight 14.7 oz.-- Although mine shipped flat, it is easily folded into thirds or rolled up for packing empty in another bag.-- Great price.-- Great choice of colors (after receiving and testing, I iimmediately came back and ordered one in khaki/navy for my wife).-- Large enough to hold a medium-size laptop. Mine has a 14" display -- its case is 9" high, against the 11" dimension of the pack, so you could comfortably go up to, say, a 15.6" display.-- While the water-bottle pockets are not very deep (I've complained about this for another, much more expensive backpack), this one has a little loop above each side pocket (you can see one in the picture). You can pass a rubber band through this loop and put the two ends over the top of your bottle and presto -- falling-out problem is solved!Disadvantages:-- No padding for a laptop.-- No padding in the back of the pack to keep stuff (like the laptop) from poking you -- if it's a problem you'll have to devise your own solution, inside the pack (like a folded tee shirt or whatever).-- Not as many pockets/compartments as more expensive packs.-- The diameter of the carry handle at the top is too small to loop around the handle of your roll-aboard carry-on.All in all, a great value -- cheap enough to try even if you're not sure!

Fits big and tall guys too
This is a nice backpack. It looks great, the material is really nice, and your laptop gets some cushion too! I'm a big guy, 6ft, 250lbs, and it fits well with room to spare. It could definitely fit a much larger person. My 15.6" laptop fits perfectly, and is well protected.I love the extra pockets. It's got a hidden passport pocket on the back, and an ID/Credit Card pocket on the strap, as well as a fee others. This is a very professional looking bag. I don't really care much about fashion or whatever, but this bag does get some comments, as it looks great.FYI, the backpack itself is not rechargeable. You need to install your own Power Bank on the inside, then you can use the USB ports on the outside of the bag for charging your phone. It makes charging your phone really convenient!I like this backpack so much I might just get another one for a Christmas Gift!

Nice economical backpack.
Nice size and great for a carryall bag. Of course not as durable as an expensive backpack but great for hunting a few weeks a year. The blaze orange makes it easy to see what is in the bag in low light conditions.

My 1 year review
I’ve had this backpack for over a year now and it’s still going strong.I use it to go to work and pack my lunch and work gear in it. It can fit quite a bit of stuff if you pack it right. This thing is pretty damn durable too. It has no damage or visible wear and tear after 1 year of use. For the price you can’t go wrong. Highly recommended!
