With a bit of common sense, you too can be satisfied
Okay, I want to talk a bit about these sights. Magpul makes good stuff, and they are innovative. I have two sets of these sights mounted to a couple of my AR15's. They are lightweight, low profile, durable, economical, and very user friendly. Just click or karate chop it, and it flips up. Push it down and it locks back down. That's it! No weird cross pin style locking mechanisms, no need to push up and lock into place. When time is of the essence, just reach up with your thumb and CLICK! It's in place faster than you can blink an eye! Good sight picture front and rear. They sit really low on the rail when not used. Installation is simple. Just push it on from the end of your AR15's picatinny rail, locate your preferred mounting spot, and put the provided screw through the sight and rail and tighten it with a screwdriver. Really, these sights are idiot-proof... or are they?Magpul should not have to put a disclaimer stating not to mount polymer sights to gas blocks. I figured it was only common sense, but after reading the interwebz and a couple of reviews from here, there are people out there who actually figured you could mount these to gas blocks, until they read the fine print... and the blamed the sights themselves. Like I said, I figured it was common sense, but then again, McDonald's was sued because a woman spilled her coffee in her lap and the cup wasn't labeled "HOT COFFEE." Go figure.Additionally, these sights are engineered to sit on top of accessory rails (rears on AR15 flat top receivers). Of course, you can mount them to other guns, but I'm speaking to the other group of people who can't get them to sight in right because they disregarded common sense and logic and actually mounted these sights to gas blocks, and then fired the gun! Most gas blocks sight below rail height. If you want a gas block mounted sight, buy one specifically designed with the extra height (and metal) in mind. Just don't go around dogging these sights because you didn't read before you installed them.As for durability, some people are saying that because they are plastic, they will break. Okay, well then how do you explain Glocks, FN's, XD's, M&P's and such? Oh I'm sure some have broken, but most plastic guns that are fighting in wars and being used for LE, are holding up just fine to the sort of abuses they are subjected to. My AR15 is my working gun. The MBUS sights installed on it are no exception. That AR rides in the back of pickup trucks, gets used in harsh desert conditions, fears no snow, goes up the rocky mountainsides with me, and generally sees an assortment of things that safe queens and bench rest guns would never dream of. The sights have never shot loose, never cracked, warped, disintegrated, or malfunctioned in any of the ways mentioned in some of the 1-3 star reviews. In fact, despite being on my AR15 for over a year, and accompanying me on just about every outing off pavement and away from the covered range, they still look new, aside from some dirt hiding in some of the small corners. They also cowitness to the lower 1/3rd of an Aimpoint Comp M3 in a Larue LT150 mount.

FANTASTIC front sight, just make sure you have the right gas block.
Just a fantastic sight. It's rock solid, holds the sighting about as well as anything I've encountered. Quick and easy to popup when not using a larger optic (or with one when you have an optic that co-witnesses with this unit).I DID encounter an issue with the mounting of the front sight - none of which was Magpul's fault: there's a surprisingly low amount of rail-height gasblocks for AR15-type rifles out there. So when I purchased one for my rifle build and it had a sight rail, I had assumed (incorrectly) that it was at the right height for Magpul's front sight. It wasn't. Don't know what one would use it for otherwise, but I had to return the gasblock and get another. Not taking away any stars on the review because it was 100% my fault and not Magpul's at all, just an advisory on those that are building their AR15's.

Solid Magpul equipment, as you would expect.
I removed the screw and bolt, slid the sight on and put the bolt and nut back on, easy.some people say that the colors vary in the "batches" of production. so far i have the afg2 foregrip, trigger guard and mbus 2's, and all match flawlessly. there is also an article written in a magazine that compared these sights to the diamond head and troy industries steel sights, they were all dropped once from i believe 10 feet, both steel sights from diamond head and troy not only had cosmetic damage but the troy's flip aperture would no longer work, and both were out of zero immensely and would no longer hold a zero. The magpul's were dropped once and received only minor cosmetic damage, so they dropped them again, and they still held a zero! Awesome article, because i was planning on buying the Diamond Head sights. They are still great sights but for now ill take the ones that didn't lose zero.
