Cos something big and bad is going on and we won't let anything mess with my music... or you know, the world. This is a funny, charming, exciting, surprisingly touching and excellently written story. We’ve loved following Humza, Umer and Wendy Wang on their extraordinary adventure. You invest in the characters, care about the outcome and it’s great to see the cultural references sprinkled throughout. I’ve not heard my kids laugh so much during bedtime books! So this is highly recommend and we’re ready to begin ‘The Time Travelling Teacher of Doom’.

Brilliant - funny and heart warming and weird!
Firstly, my very white children were baffled by the references to Asian food, and made us try every single one mentioned in the book - brilliant way to educate them about a culture which we know little about. Secondly, every bee we meet is now called Mustafa, much to the bewilderment of their friends! Thirdly, this has to be the funniest book I have read with them since Mr Gum - some absolutely hilarious lines, and the name of the headmaster made me snort EVERY time I read it. Hilarious! And finally, just a really heartwarming book about friendship and family and aliens. Every child should read this book!

Enter the crazy world of Humza, his friends and family - an excellent read for year 6
As a year six teacher in a rural school I read this new release book and got carried along into the crazy world of Humza, his friends and family. The authors have created a storyline that makes you stay up and turn the page, introduces children to a different culture within Britain and has masses of corny jokes for eleven year olds and cool turns of phrase. I have recommended it to my class and have a queue waiting to get their hands on it.

Warning to all you foodies, make sure you’re stocked up before you read!
I purchased four books, two for my workplace as Humza has many fans there, and two for my nephews. My nephews are on the young side however I attempted to read to both of them, the two year old thought it was funny to tickle my belly throughout the duration of the first chapter and at the end of the book I asked my four year old nephew if he liked it and he said yes! All jokes aside the book is absolutely funny, filled with many relatable scenarios, well written and funny from start to end. It was refreshing to read about a child from a different culture yet still very relatable. The book made me crave for food throughout the read, so I’m glad I had enough food with me. Hope this book inspires others from various cultures, to write books that give insights into their culture, this will help the wider audience understand the diverse community we live in. Hopefully this is one of many more!
