Edimax Fast Ethernet USB / Parallel Print Server (PS-1206P)

I was unable to install the setup program on Win10 so I had to pull out a WinXP laptop to configure it with a basic static IP configuration. Once that was done, the PS-1206P worked perfectly, bringing continued usefulness to a 35-yr-old HP laserJet 2100 where a 30-yr-old Netgear PS110 had given up the ghost.It claims to accept DHCP configuration out-of-the-box, but it did not work for me.If you resemble me in this respect, of holding on to old equipment that still works, this is a great and inexpensive solution to a particular problem. If you're of a more sensible bent, it's probably wiser to upgrade more often and, in this case, I probably should have bought the WiFi version of this.

This is a great print server device that is far less expensive than comparable units and allowed me to get my old parallel printer on my home network so that I can print to it from any computer in the house. It was a bit of a pain to set up initially but now that that's done it works flawlessly. I'm printing to it from Windows 10 so there is no issue there.

Works good but installation took 3 hours on the phone work tech support.

Easy to configure. Has worked flawlessly for over 2 weeks.

Works as advertised... What more can I ask?

In the add it said that it was parallel/USB. When I got it, it was only parallel, no USB.

Schon x-mal gekauft und eingerichtet. Das ist ein zuverlässiges Gerät auch für unterschiedliche Ansteuerungen.Manche Printserver funktionieren nicht zuverlässig wenn man sie direkt mit escape Sequenzen ansteuert.Der Edimax ist daher eine ganz klare Empfehlung.

Perfecto, era lo que buscaba y funciona correctamente, tenia serias dudas ya que tenia que ir conectado a una impresora matricial muy antigua pero me ha funcionado a la primera.
