Silicone Pastry Mat with Measurements. Finally a Baking Mat That Actually Works. Designed in the USA. Extra Large 26” x 18”

First off let me just say that I am a pastry mat veteran! You name it- I've tried and rejected it. This one is different. First, if you are a first time pastry mat buyer, take my advice--- buy one bigger than you think you need! Yes, pie crust is only 8-10" round. What about cinnamon roll dough, and rolled cookie dough? Yep, get a bigger one.Second, watch out for "rolled edges." My biggest complaint about pastry mats is that they all say they will stick to your rolling surface so you're not shoving your pastry all over the kitchen trying to roll it out. Uh, not so much. This last one I just threw out stuck beautifully for about a month and then started slipping around and developing rolled edges. I had to sit something heavy on all the corners in order to use it. Yuk!Enter the Silibake! Hallelujah! This one is actually big enough. It is made of silicone but a little thinner than a Silpat which I find an attractive feature. There are measurements on it so your pie crust is round and not a hexagon. Thats important. There are also a couple of recipes on it. Cute but probably not terribly useful. But- who knows? I havent tried them as yet. It sticks to my granite, the corners stay flat. Its everything I have been looking for in a pastry mat.My advice: Buy It!I have only rolled a pie crust so far and you can't have it back! It lays flat, doesnt stick , and rolls back up into a small cylinder for storage in the nice bag it comes in. So far it gets the prize in my book.Bonus alert: You can bake on it! Put it on a cookie sheet and voila! Clean pan, no stuck food. Aldo, I was pleasantly surprised to find an E recipe collection from this company as a " thank you." I like the touch of class.

LOVE THIS! Works perfectly, saves having to flour the entire counter and make a huge mess. You will still need to use some flour for pizza dough/making tortillas from scratch but I was able to roll out pasta, lay it out and pick sheets back off mat for cutting with fettucine/angel hair attachment. Cleans easily, can develop a tiny stickiness if not washed perfectly in soapy water. Dries easily. Have had a year and it looks as pristine as first day of purchase. Also love how it somehow static clings to the counter and doesn't slip. Measurements on edges are great bonus. Would buy again and would buy for friends. Perfect size for making dough. Rolls up into less than 1" diameter for storage and lays immediately flat. Am able to use metal dough cutter and pasta wheel on it to cut pasta and doesn't even harm it!

Before choosing a new baking mat, I researched them thoroughly as I was looking for a well-designed mat that would be multi-functional as well as nice looking. I ordered the extra-large size Sili Bake and am very happy with my purchase. The baking mat is a great improvement over my 30 year old Tupperware mat! I love that it is easy to unroll, lays flat during use, and sticks well to my granite countertops. The measurements are very handy for making 6 inch pies as well as larger pizza crusts. I also find the additional inch and cookie measurements, helpful hints, and recipes to be handy. The mat is easy to clean, dries quickly, and fits easily back into the original compact packaging. (I do use the lining paper from the original packaging when I roll the mat for storage.) I definitely recommend this mat.

Great product! I was looking for something I could put on the counter to prep pastry and other items. It works great for bread. I use a little bit of flour and the dough does not stick. If it sticks at all it comes off easily and the mat is easy to clean. I like it because it is large enough to make a mess on the mat but not get the counter totally messy. The measurements and other information is very handy, though I haven't needed it yet. I would definitely buy again. The instructions say it is oven safe to around 900 degrees so it is nice to know that heat will not destroy it and you can bake on it. It is very thin so you don't want to cut anything on this mat. If you follow directions it should work for you.

Bought this as a gift but I opened it and looked it over. It is a good size, and it sticks like crazy to any surface. It is very thin, but looks pretty durable. It rolls up easily and then lays flat. I'm happy with it and might get one for myself. I left off 1 star only becaus I haven't used it myself.

Love this mat!!! Someone who actually bakes came up with this one. I've had this mat about three weeks now and its already seen more use than my old Tupperware mat that has been in the back of the drawer for the better part of 20 years. This mat stays flat and stays put on the counter, making rolling out dough a breeze. Love all the conversions and measurements, even the myopically challenged can see them without putting glasses on. Lots of helpful hints too.Beware!!! The sugar cookie recipe lacks the flour measurement. Hope they have corrected this on future manufacturing orders. Nothing wrong with the mat itself, just a printing error.What a great gift for a new bride or a housewarming or for someone who just likes to bake.

Last week when my 11 year old Grand Daughter came up to visit me while he dad did chores for me. Among one of the fun things we did was made snickerdoodles. Her favorite cookie. I was complaing because I had to use my old baking sheets so I told her to go on lineand order these silicone mats. She received a notice that I had ordered these before and she was correct. I had given them to my daughter in law because I loved them so much. They make cookie and pie baking so easy. With these sheets therre is no greasing pans or using parchment paper. I don't even bother washing them between batches and no problem there. Clean up is a breeze with soap and water and you are ready to go. The large pastry mat is a great addition to your baking supplies. It has recipes, measurements sizes and it can be used for cookies as well as pies.They would make great gifts for any occasion.
