JANX USB 3.0 4-Port Compact HUB with Built-in USB 3.0 Cable - Black

I was looking for a small USB 3.0 hub for my Asus T100 that can fit inside my laptop sleeve without adding any thickness or weight to the thin sleeve. This USB hub meets all of my requirements. It is very compact thin and I was very pleased with the build quality. It is made of great quality plastic and looks very nice next to your laptop. The cable that connects the hub to your laptop is very thick which will prevent it from breaking in the future. Although the thickness of the cable is sturdy, it can pose a problem. It is very hard to keep your USB hub right next to your laptop without the cable trying to bend back into a straight position. The cable is so thick that it is hard to bend. I also like the fact that it is USB 3.0 instead of 2.0 and four ports is plenty for me although other people might need more. I would recommend this USB hub to anyone who needs a compact USB hub with fast USB speeds and multiple ports. Also, anyone who doesn't want a USB hub powered by a wall outlet will be pleased to find that this USB hub gets power from your computers USB port. If it wasn't for the stiff cable I would give this 5 stars but because of the difficult cable I give it 4 stars.Pros: Great build quality, very compact, USB 3.0, sturdy cableCons: Stiff cable

While this thing is compact, it is SUPER flaky on a good day. I got this as a backup to my Pluggable 7-port hub. I use my hub to plug in my g400 mouse, k270 keyboard, and 3 external drives. Go figure, on my last flight I forgot to pack the power adapter for my 7-port hub, so I've had to resort to using this.Just getting going with the JANX... I tried one port for the keyboard: FAIL. Tried another port, worked for 10 seconds, then keeps periodically dropping connection: FAIL. What a joke. I can't even use my keyboard with this thing and have confidence in it working consistently. Right now I am typing from my regular usb port on the side of my MBP and it's working flawlessly, so I know the JANX is at fault here.I am really weary about pluggin in my external HDs to this thing and not having data loss because of the flakyness. There's no way I am going to risk it on this cheap junk. Super bummed. Highly recommend going with another brand.

Causes my surface pro 2 to crash. They don't support multi porting.

It does its job well, unless my computer goes to sleep. Then I have some real problems getting it to come back on. I hope this is a mismatch between my usb port and the hub, because an older usb hub that my wife bought is doing just fine. Which means this one is now gathering dust.

This has taken all the hassle out of connecting and disconnecting various devices from the desktop. I only wish I had had it years ago

If you need an afforadable 3.0 hub, this is a really good option. No muss, no fuss, just plug and play.

Nice product, sturdy, does what it is supposed to to.
