K2Alexis Women's 2012 Wrist Guard, Small

Fit as expected, based on the sizing and reviews people have left. I use them about once a week, it's been a few weeks. They get sweaty very quickly now, I don't remember that at first, but it's pretty quick now. Not sure how much I like that part about them, but I'm afraid to skate without them because I'm a musician and my wrists are important. I've taken one small fall where I landed on one hand, and they did exactly what they're supposed to do - my hand slid instead of taking the impact, I could feel the product working, my wrist was absolutely fine, and I was very pleased to have had these on, to avoid injury. I'd recommend them. I believe wrist injuries are one of the #1 injuries for roller skaters. Why risk it?

I wanted guards that had hard protection on the palm and stiff support on the back of my hand & wrist. These fit the bill. I haven't taken a digger with them but they definitely feel like they will keep my wrists from getting bent back. I also like that these aren't huge; some others I tried went to the middle of my forearm.These are comfortable and light. I like them.

It's been a while since I used one of these. I was a bit confused at first as to which side to wear it, being that it's not marked as to which hand to use it on. From my understanding K2 is usually more for roller derby activities, whereas, I bought it simply because it matched my skates and it protected my wrists. I didn't bother with the knee or elbow pads. Primarily due to the fact that I initially use my hands to catch myself, if not my butt. I finally used them for the first time since buying them, earlier this summer. Fortunately, I didn't have too much of a need for them but it was nice to have them, just in case! The heel of my palm was perfectly protected and my wrists were wonderfully guarded. If I need any more protective gear, I will certainly consider purchasing another K2 product.

I got these for roller derby to replace the entry level 187 wrist guards I had. These are far more comfortable with the contoured plastic and have the added protection on both sides of the wrist. I took off one star because one of the rivets already feels loose, so I am not sure how these will hold up over time. That said I would still probably get these again for the excellent combination of comfort and protection. It is hard for any derby gear to endure the beating it goes through.

I have large hands and they were a little tight. They did prevent me from hurting my wrist but the plastic did bang into my hand near my knuckles when I feel and that hurt for a bit

Working great! Using them for figure skating. I broke my wrist several months ago and they have given me the confidence to get back on the ice and continue with my jumps. They hold up nicely and when they start to break down eventually, I will consider getting the same ones again.

I love love love these wrist guards. They're the only ones I wear anymore for roller derby. They protect well while still giving me good freedom of movement. I like that they have armor on both top and bottom and conform to the palm. The straps tear apart fairly quickly, but any wrist guard does in this sport... They really haven't lasted significantly less time than any other brand I've tried. My only complaint is that the screws holding the plastic on are exposed on the inside and when they start to rust from sweat it can cause some rashes.. I wish the company would've placed them under the lining.

Okay product that serves its purpose. A little uncomfortable around the thumb and knuckle area which is especially noticeable after using for 20+ minutes.
