This meter was very easy to use and was pretty accurate. The "test" solution, which was supposed to be 4.01 ph, came in at 4.06 ph when I used the meter. I also tested Essentia water which touts a 9.5+ ph level and it came back 10.0 ph. So if you're wondering Essentia water is the REAL deal.

Biggest piece of junk if you need it for more than a week, I was pretty stoked it worked, so I put my Oakton ph meter away since I was waiting for a new probe, anyhow, I've had it for 3 weeks, I noticed I was ending up with weird ph's before ph down or up, but like a dummy i suspected my water and just adjusted, I checked the calibration and it was off, so I calibrated it using the included powder packs. There was no getting the calibration to hold, I'd calibrate to 6.87, it'd stop flashing, and then it'd show random numbers, like it jumped to 9.02, then dropped to 0.00 in less than 10 seconds, and it just continued to jump all over, I was aiming for a ph of 5.8, I pulled out my other meter, calibrated it, this meter told me it was at 5.86, my good meter showed me it was really 4.04, so yeah, I've been using who knows what ph, I wrote a review all happy I got this 3 weeks ago, nope, this thing was JUNK, the last one, was also junk but at least it lit up. nope avoid these cheap pieces of junk if you can and pay extra to get something that works correctly, SO MAD, but it does explain why my plants have looked different this week, thanks for nothing

Great price great product.... Mine did not come calibrated but was easily done

So far this meter is working better than my old one. It came out of the box calibrated and is giving accurate readings. Hopefully, it will last longer than my last one by another company.

I bought another one that looked the same but was blue. It was so far off it was useless but thank Amazon I could return it. This one is fairly accurate. By that I mean maybe .001 off which is close enough for Government work and my Kombusha tea. Overall a good buy.
