An organization The SS Elite that ended in Disaster and the men who ran it to man's darkest HISTORY!!
I received this book in excellent condition! This book in the series of the SS Elite by Max Williams will be a CLASSIC for collectors!! The photos and the individual histories of each man is most revealing and shocking!! These men were not exceptional but lost souls who found themselves in a man who had a Mad Dream!! I am glad to have purchased this book for my library!!

I'll put this very briefly so that the point won't be lost in a welter of verbose praise and superlatives: This volume completes the most impressive photographic study of the SS leadership ever published. If you are interested to any degree in this history, buy it. And while you're at it, also secure a copy of the author's equally extraordinary photographic study of Heinrich Himmler.~ Mike Millerhttps://www.amazon.com/Michael-D.-Miller/e/B01DLKKJVA/ref=ntt_dp_epwbk_0

Great series
Much useful information about many leaders, most of whom many have never heard of.2 minor corrections: Ribbentrop was never a Reichsleiter and Robert Ley's wife was named Inga, not Inge as so many mistakenly write.

A great research source!
“SS Elite Trilogy” is a great research source for anyone interested in the top members of Hitler’s protection squadron. In the third volume (R to W) Mr. Williams provides detailed accounts of service of these top officers, along with details of their personal lives and interesting bits associated with their service, family life, or relationship with their comrades. Each chapter is rather short and to the point; it’s more of a summary and not a fully-presented portrait (most likely you won’t get a personal feeling of what kind of person this or that Party functionary was just based on “their” section) but it’s perfect for obtaining general knowledge concerning their role in the Nazi hierarchy. As with volumes one and two, it’s meticulously researched and rich in photographic material - you’ll definitely be amazed at the sheer number of them! Highly recommended as an excellent research source.

photo reproduction is excellent, (glossy paper)
Max Williams's Volume III on SS "SS Elite - The Senior Leaders of Hitler's Praetorian Guard". (Fonthill).Biographies and photos of the men listed in the contents photographs from archival and private sources.List price £45 but on Amazon £29.25 , 480 pages , photo reproduction is excellent, (glossy paper) , font size is good and the authors accounts of each man are detailed and easily read. There are a few men here who are " strangers" to me and within the notes I am sure most folks will find new information ,a decent read and a good addition to Volumes 1&2.Although it is a minor ( and should not put anyone off ) thought on my part the gold writing it a bit loud , but just my own "2d".The subjects themselves something of a mixed bunch some who survived into old age to die peacefully guiltless of any crime, others who served prison sentences ,some who took their own lives and others who were rightly sentenced to death for their criminal activities.Good value and one worth having, IMO the author has done a good job.
