So Perfect! Great story and series!
I loved the role reversal in this book where Ètienne finds himself in the present and out of his depth. It is so amusing to read how fascinated and curious he is about everything.I was happy that the author also brought in the point of view of Nathalie and Old Serene. It gave a lot more background and understanding to the storyline. The bizarre twist at the end is something you don’t see coming which is always an indication of great writing and story. I absolutely loved this series of books and the unique storyline.

Serene
4 stars instead of 5. Due to series starting with a Serene Etienne hated. Later referred to as oils Serene. No explanation why they hated

Best series ever!!!!!
I’ve fallen through time. I’ve loved through time. I’ll die in time.”Those are the beautiful words of Calia Read.I JUST finished Echoes of Time!! The epilogue just gave me chills!! Calia, your mind is brilliant. Brilliant.Where the HECK did you come up with this story? You tell it like you ARE Serene, and you HAVE time traveled. And you HAVE fallen in love with the most complicated alpha male in 1912.I felt every headache, every heart-ache for Etienne, ever blow of fresh air, ever urge to go back/or forth to every era. My heart is beating out of my chest with excitement. If I could ever live a story, it would be this one. I would die a thousand deaths to re-live Serene’s experiences.I’ve written soooo many reviews. And I’m having such a hard time putting my thoughts together on this one. I started reading this book at least 3 days ago. It took all this time to finish, because I never wanted it to end. Like ever!!!So many different elements that make this series a “5 Star series”.The writing. Calia has her own style, unlike any other.Character development. That’s a 10 Star. Each and every character has depth, and their own motivations, and personalities unique to their situation. All perfectly thought out.Asa, Nat, Livingston. All secondary characters that play a huge role in the love story and time travel of Serene and Étienne. All of which I want FULL stories for in the future. She looks up at me and then squeezes my hand. “I’ll hold on to you. Surviving trace, right?”I nod. “Surviving trace. Our love holds time together.”SWOON!If you haven’t started this series, I would say this is the one to push up to your number one spot on your TBR List!

Speechless
What can I say, this book was one of the best Time travel Romances I've ever read!! It's written in the vein of a contemporary romance with some unexpected traveling back to 1912 thrown in. Going down in my list of favorite Romances!

Echoes of Time resonate with intensity!
Thoughts, countless emotions, nostalgia and endless love. I’m still reeling after having finished reading this third book of The Surviving Time trilogy.I continue to mull over so many parts of this story almost to the point of obsession! I absolutely loved it! I’m now left with bittersweet feelings and anticipation for more from Calia Read!I took my time savoring every word, re-reading sections or lines at times, putting my kindle down and walking away wanting to prolong the inevitable approach of the conclusion at others. Their story was coming to a phenomenal and epic end but I could only imagine how it could continue! The expertly developed and compelling characters of Etienne and Serene are forever in my heart!Calia Read chronicles their adventures in such a unique and enthralling way that I felt as if I was right there experiencing events with them and immersed in their lives. She adeptly and intricately weaves events and describes their challenges in a way that I visualized the scenes vividly. Her depictions and imagery are etched in my mind’s eye.I sincerely hope that this is not the end as I have become immersed in the story of Belgrave and want to continue this magical journey through time with all of these captivating characters. This is truly one of my favorite trilogies of all time!

This one just didn’t make sense to me...
I don’t think this third book was necessary.SpoilersIn book 1 there are biblical references that hint at the sins of Serene’s ancestors needing to be corrected and they cause her to go back in time. There’s a reason for the time travel. In book 2 Serene is trying to get back to the man she’s fallen for in the past and trying to determine if she has a place in his life when he seems to have moved on without her. There’s also a tie to Serene’s ancestors again, though it doesn’t seem as strong as in the first book.In book 3 everyone starts happy, more or less stays happy (aside from poor Nat?), and ends happy. There’s no authentic reason or rhyme to why anyone needed to time travel. The very end of the series was a strong attempt at being climatic but really felt forced.I think if you’d taken the content of these two books (minus much of the third) and brought it altogether into two total novels you’d have a very satisfying pair.As an aside, please tell me that someone tells poor Livingston not to go to war. Sheesh, what a thing to not wrap up.

What a great series
This has been such a great journey. I love how each character grows during this series. The writer has done a great job in helping me create a connection with each character and understand their course of actions better. I love seeing Etienne in the present day and how he comes to realisation how much Serene has to give up to be with him. As always, Serene is strong and assertive. She knows what she wants and works for it and I love her for that. This book includes other characters’ POVs as well and it’s a good way to understand them more and kinda build up the tension in the story.I am so happy that I had a chance to read this series. It is by far my favorite. I love every character and the ending was enjoyable too. It’s a nice way to end the main characters’ story and introduce a setting for Livingston in King of the South.Would highly recommend!!!

Great conclusion
Now that Etienne has come to his senses - hey, he has to have some flaws, can't be 100% perfect - things are supposed to be good.Except, Serene can't seem to stay in one time. There's always something that needs to be changed in the past and for her to go back and try and fix things, in the present.I loved that Etienne got to time travel to the present, he got to see for himself all the things Serene has told him about, in the previous books - mainly technology - and loved how their relationship has evolved and grown, throughout the three books.I also loved the side characters and the glimpses into their stories - which we will be getting, in a spin-off series, yay!All in all, it's a great conclusion to the trilogy, and can't wait to read more, see what they're doing, in the spin-off series.4.5 stars.

Readable but not amazing
I completed the series but found much of it shallow and lacking true historical information. So much more about buildings, so little on social structures (other than the wealthy).

😍😭
I’m so sad that I’ve finished the series. I can tell you right now if you love an angsty, enemies to lovers, second chance at marriage with a dose of time travel on the side, please read this. Or at least the first book. It’s so beautifully written. You get so drawn in by the writing that it literally sucks you in like it did to me. I think I’ve changed my sleeping pattern countless times just by staying up all night reading this series.
