Nice dark license plate cover
I really like this dark license plate cover, it is dark but still easy to read. I have used it for over 2 years and not had one issue with local law enforcement since its still easy to read.

Looks great fits a little weird
First impression is that this tag cover bumps out from the center and doesn’t lay flat on my truck or car tags but it does look really good so I’m happy

Illegal in Washington State

Illegal in Converse, Texas
Love the product and the darkness is the perfect shade....Downside is after 2 months of having it on my truck I got pulled over. I was given NO warning and blessed with a lovely citation. The ticket was $175 and the officer said its illegal. I got cited for failure to show license plate correctly/obstructing license plate. I remove them immediately and went git the ticket dismissed and only had to pay court fee.... $10.46

They don't quite fit Ontario plates and the tint is moderate
I ordered these after having read a number of reviews with mixed feedback on how adequate they are, and in my experience the criticism is well-deserved.The covers I received were in brand-new condition (no fingerprints, etc.) but they were a couple milimetres too short for my Ontario plates ("CL_ _ XXX"). I will be returning this set and ordering a new set in case I received a defective set.As for the tint level, I would compare it to sunglasses where people can still see your eyes and exactly where you are looking. On my black car, it adds some shade but by no means is it as dark as some of the pics that other reviewers have shared here. I've seen some cars on the road with covers where you almost can't read the plate in broad daylight, but I don't think any cop would have a problem reading your plate from afar with this cover. If it wasn't for the improper fit, I would give this product 5 stars.

Works well with Ontario plates
First covers came cracked and didn’t fit well. Second set was perfect. A little dark but plate could still be read.
