We Ate the Acid

This book features some of my favorite of Joe Robert’s art. The print quality is amazing, and you can really feel the texture and color of each piece.

One of my first art purchases, likely to remain as a lifelong diamond mine. The work of Joe Roberts naturally presses buttons in my brain. Forcing my attention. To memories of fractals and an absurdist’s despair, infinite oscillating experience, skyscraping complexes within all our flesh. Memorializing all those trips, so far away now, I’m not sure if I’ll ever go back fully. But I do know and remember what I gained. Even so, these things will slip away from me. Everlong unfurling out of cold storage synapses. Rain will fall when I see these subtle poems, some day in the future’s expanse. I hope to find more faith in the mystique of this existence. Indifferent only in its sly grin, arms outstretched around us unnoticed. I hope to meet some of you and give hugs or shake hands. Au revoir friends,

Joe Roberts is my favorite. I love this book like a treasure

Well you're true essence is in this book colorful artistry of the here and now life is but a dream eternal energy playing hid and seek perfection

Joe is a one-off. Nobody that I know creates the art he does. Sure, there are similar artists inspired by similar chemicals, but none that I know have the artistic style or vision that comes out of Joe. Would highly recommend this to anybody interested in mystic arts, psychedelia, etc

Since a fun and funky book! Bought as a housewarming gift for friends and will be ordering one for myself too!

Joe Roberts did it again!!! I gave this to my husband as a present and we loved it!!! The book has amazing artwork and just the colors and perspectives and everything in it is just incredible!

My son loved his Birthday present

This was a 100% impulse buy i found whilst flicking through Steadman and Grandville books - and it's the best impulse buy i've had in a long time. It's nurturing, challenging and expansive and Man, does it draw you in deeper and deeper...I can say from the outset (the book only arrived on my doorstep 5 hours ago) that this book is going to keep giving for some time and it's gifts are both complexly simple and evergreen... It's beautiful and a wonderful purchase to start the year, long may we challenge the things that we have, put simply - just learned without questioning... Adios...!
