Active Ankle Brace for Sprained Ankle or Running Injury (Medium)

I've been in plaster for 10 weeks after breaking my leg in two places, a break at the top of the leg which has now healed well and a spiral fracture near the ankle. I am able to take off the plaster for periods of time when resting but with no exercise to the ankle I still have a lot of discomfort, using the ankle brace gives me medium support whilst still being able to give some movement to try and get my ankle back on the move slowly. I'm a size 10 shoe and when first fitting it was a tight fit but once on it's comfortable and I've been able to walk short paces relatively pain free with the aid of a crutch, a long way to go but this has given me a lot of confidence after being very worried about putting weight back onto my leg and foot.Well chuffed with how this supports my ankle!!!!!

In the late 90s I broke my ankle whist in the Army and ever since I have had a "rubber" ankle. I have used many supports over the years and on the whole this one measures up OK.It offers a moderate level of support for a lightly sprained ankle. I would not be happy using it if I had ligament damage or a heavily sprained ankle, there are more supportive ones out there, but you pay the price.This support fitted nicely in a trainer and did not rub anywhere at all. Half of the trick with an ankle support where nerves might be compromised is to create feeling in other parts of the foot that remind you that there is an issue. In this case the support functioned just as I wanted.I read reviews about the supports coming up too small. I ordered a large for a size 10 shoe. It fits with no issues at all. There is a slight bulge in the support above the heel, which is OK in a trainer, but might be uncomfortable when I use it in a boot.The instructions for fitting the support and dreadful and cheaply done, if you have no experience of using a support the poor quality pictures won't assist you much. When putting on the support, If you do manage to figure out the instructions, you may need to adjust the strap. Following the instructions as they are makes the the support too tight once you start running the foot spreads, this makes support is quite uncomfortable around the arch.I have now run approx 15 miles with this support and if you are looking for a extra piece of mind on your ankle, then you can't find any better for your money.

A great brace! Feels great wrapped around the ankle and for the price you can't go wrong. The only downside for me is my fatty ankles, it doesn't seem designed for someone who has large ankles, I had to remove the inner Velcro to stop it scratching me as I couldn't tighten it enough to stop it happening. Once I removed the inner Velcro I managed it no problem. The straps are great, they allow you to position pressure onto different areas of the ankle and foot. It does seem to help my sprain. Would definitely buy another if I needed one and would recommend 👌🏻

I found this brace to give good support for my ankle which I've sprained badly. I went for the medium size but think the large would have been better. I am 5ft tall and have size 4 UK shoe size so its not as if I have big feet. You can't return them if they don't fit since this wouldn't be hygienic. I wouldn't be able to wear a sock under it. The problem is the tightness over the bridge of the foot, hence the four stars.

I purchased this product so i could have some support during my training for the marathon. I have a weak ankle and this brace came up very supportive. The velcro holds well and it is very comfortable to wear. I feel alot more comfortable wearing this even if it is just the peace of mind.I recevied this product at discount in return for an honest review.

Utterly ridiculous. Insanely small. Tiny amount of stretch. Possibly suitable for a skinny 5 year old. Circumference at the top is under 6 inches - less than my teeny tiny wrist. Couldn't even get over the ball of my foot. I only paid two pounds for this as an add on item and I still feel conned.

Very comfortable but doesn't seem to offer much support. There's a piece of velcro on the inside that means that I have to wear it over a sock so there's more movement

The material and overall the product seems to be of good quality.Nevertheless, the fact that it covers half the sole makes it kind of painful to walk due to this change in pressure at this specific point.But, this is a problem I have also encountered with similar products.
